Round 630 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As we stumble forward, the air thick with smoke and ash, I feel a sudden jolt of fear. The ground beneath us gives way, and I realize that the tunnel has collapsed behind us, trapping us in an even smaller space. We're now surrounded by rubble, our only exit a narrow opening just a few feet away. Merrin grabs my arm, her eyes wide with panic. "Varikka, we have to get through that opening," she whispers, nodding towards the gap. But as we approach it, I hear the sound of rushing water growing louder - the water from the tower's collapse is flooding in, and it's closing in fast. We have to move now, or risk being swept away.
Merrin: "Varikka, we have to hurry!" I shout over the roar of the approaching flood, my voice strained with urgency. "That water is coming fast, and we don't have much time!"
I grit my teeth against the pain in my ankle as Merrin helps me stagger towards the narrow opening. The roar of the approaching flood is deafening, and I can feel the vibrations of the collapsing tunnel through my boots. We're running out of time.
As we reach the gap, I see that it's even smaller than I thought - barely wide enough for us to squeeze through one at a time. But there's no choice - we have to get through or risk being swept away by the rising water.
I turn to Merrin, my face grim with determination. "You go first," I shout over the din. "I'll hold back the debris as long as I can."
Merrin hesitates for a moment, her eyes wide with fear. But then she nods, trusting me to watch her back. She begins to wiggle through the opening, her face contorted with effort as she forces her way through the narrow gap.
I turn my attention to the flood, bracing myself against the rubble with my good leg. The water is coming fast, and I can feel the force of it pushing against my back. I grit my teeth and push harder, using all my strength to hold back the deluge.
But even as I strain against the flood, I know that we're running out of time. The water is rising faster than I can hold it back, and I can feel the tunnel starting to collapse around us. We need to get through this opening now, or we'll be trapped forever.
