As Varikka takes a step forward, her foot slips on a patch of slick stone, and she almost falls. Merrin quickly grabs her by the arm, holding her steady. The Guardian's voice echoes behind them, "I'll give you one chance to leave peacefully. If I see you make a move, I'll stop this collapse."

Varikka winces in pain, her ankle throbbing with each movement. She knows they must proceed carefully. Suddenly, the ground beneath them gives way, and the sound of crashing stone fills the air as a section of the tunnel collapses, sending rocks tumbling down the corridor. The Guardian's voice takes on a note of satisfaction, "You should have taken my offer. Now, you'll have to navigate this rubble to escape."

I tighten my grip on Varikka's arm as the ground beneath us shifts and crumbles, sending rocks tumbling down the corridor. "Careful now," I mutter, my eyes wide with alarm as I scan the debris-littered path ahead. "We can't afford to lose our footing here."

My heart pounds in my chest as I take a tentative step forward, testing the stability of the rubble-strewn floor. The sound of stone scraping against stone echoes through the narrow tunnel, setting my teeth on edge. "This is a nightmare," I mutter under my breath, my voice strained with tension. "How are we supposed to navigate this without getting crushed?"

I glance back at Varikka, taking in her pained expression and the way she's struggling to keep her balance with her injured ankle. "You holding up alright there?" I ask, my voice filled with concern. "We need to be careful. If you fall, we'll both be in trouble."

Varikka nods, her jaw set in determination as she grips her mace tighter. "I can manage," she says through gritted teeth. "Just keep us moving forward. We can't afford to stop now."

I nod, my eyes fixed on the darkness ahead as I take another cautious step forward. The weight of the tower bears down on us from all sides, and I can feel the panic rising in my chest. "Alright," I say, my voice low and urgent. "We'll take this slow. Watch your step, and let me know if you need to rest."

As we make our way deeper into the tunnel, I can't shake the feeling that something even worse awaits us around the next corner. But we have no choice but to keep moving forward, even as the walls seem to close in around us and the rubble threatens to swallow us whole. "We'll get through this," I mutter to myself, more a prayer than a statement of fact. "Somehow, we always do."

I grit my teeth as I struggle to maintain my balance on the shifting rubble, my mace gripped tightly in my hand. "This is madness," I mutter under my breath, my voice strained with pain and exhaustion. "We're never going to make it out of here alive."

But even as the thought crosses my mind, I feel a surge of determination rise up within me. We've come too far to give up now. And Merrin is right - we have to keep moving forward if we want to survive.

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what lies ahead. "Alright," I say, my voice filled with grim resolve. "Let's get out of this godsforsaken tunnel before it collapses on top of us."

With that, I take another tentative step forward, wincing as I put weight on my injured ankle. The pain is excruciating, but I refuse to let it slow me down. We have to keep moving, no matter what stands in our way.

As we make our way deeper into the tunnel, the weight of the tower bears down on us from all sides, as if the very walls are closing in around us. But I refuse to let my fear show. Merrin needs me to be strong, to lead the way through this maze of rubble and debris.

So I keep pushing forward, one painful step at a time, my mace at the ready in case anything lurks in the shadows ahead. We'll make it out of here. We have to.
