Round 611 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Varikka's mace scrapes against the stone floor as she pushes open the small door, and she stumbles out into a narrow corridor, her injured ankle throbbing in protest. Merrin catches her by the arm, helping her steady herself. The Guardian's voice rings out from the doorway, his tone one of surprise rather than anger. "You shouldn't have done that," he says, but his words are laced with a hint of curiosity.
I pull Varikka through the doorway, my heart pounding in my chest as we make our way down the narrow corridor. The Guardian's voice echoes behind us, but I don't look back. I know that we've made a bold move, and I'm not sure what the consequences will be.
As we round a corner, I can hear the sound of the collapse growing fainter behind us. But the tunnel ahead is dark and unfamiliar, and I know that we're far from safe. "We've got to keep moving," I say to Varikka, my voice filled with urgency. "I don't know where this tunnel leads, but it's our only way out now."
I glance back at Varikka, taking in her pained expression and the way she's struggling to keep up with me. "How's your ankle?" I ask, my voice filled with concern. "Do you need to rest for a moment?"
Varikka shakes her head, her jaw set in determination. "I can keep going," she says, her voice strained but resolute. "We can't stop now. Not when we're so close to getting out of this godforsaken tower."
I nod, my eyes fixed on the darkness ahead. I know that Varikka is right. We have to keep moving, no matter what stands in our way. And as we make our way deeper into the unknown, I can't shake the feeling that something even worse awaits us around the next corner.
I limp forward, my face grim and determined as I grip my mace tightly. "You were right to lead us here," I say to Merrin, my voice strained with pain but filled with gratitude. "We couldn't have made it much further with my ankle in this state."
As we make our way deeper into the tunnel, the air grows thick and heavy, as if the very walls are pressing down on us. I can feel the weight of the tower above, and I know that we're not out of danger yet. "We need to keep moving," I say, my voice urgent and filled with fear. "I don't know what's waiting for us at the end of this tunnel, but I know that we can't stop now."
I glance back at Merrin, taking in her determined expression and the way she's supporting me as we walk. "You've been a good friend to me," I say, my voice filled with emotion. "I don't know what I would have done without you back there." Merrin nods, her eyes fixed on the darkness ahead. "We're not out of this yet," she says, her voice low and filled with caution. "But we'll make it through together. Just like we always have."
As we round another corner, I can hear a strange sound echoing through the tunnel - a low, guttural growl that seems to be coming from somewhere deep in the shadows ahead. I tighten my grip on my mace, my heart pounding in my chest as I prepare for whatever might be waiting for us at the end of this long, dark path.
