Round 610 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

The Guardian's eyes narrow, his grip on his sword tightening. "You're brave to try and reason with me," he says, his voice dripping with malice. "But bravery won't save you. The collapse will proceed, and you'll all die. I've made sure of it." He raises his hand, and the countdown timer on the console stops at 10 seconds. "You have 10 seconds to convince me that you're worth saving."
The air in the tunnel grows thick with tension as the team looks at each other, searching for a solution. Varikka's injured ankle throbs in pain, and Merrin's eyes are fixed on the Guardian, her jaw set in determination. The Guardian takes a step closer, his sword glinting in the dim light. "Speak quickly, before it's too late."
I step forward, my eyes locked on the Guardian's face. My mind races, trying to find a way out of this impossible situation. I know that we're out of time, but I refuse to give up.
Listen, I say, my voice low and urgent. You say you've made sure we'll all die, but I don't believe it. There's always a way out, if you know where to look. I glance around the room, my eyes searching for anything that might help us escape. And then I see it - a small, unassuming door set into the far wall of the chamber.
There, I say, pointing to the door. That's our way out. You can stop this collapse and let us leave in peace, or you can try to stop us. But either way, we're getting out of here. I turn to Varikka, my eyes filled with determination. Can you make it to that door? We'll cover you. The Guardian's eyes narrow, his grip on his sword tightening. But for the first time since we entered this chamber, I see a flicker of doubt in his expression. And that's all the opening we need.
Come on, I say, grabbing Varikka's arm and pulling her towards the door. Let's get out of here before this bastard changes his mind. I know that we're taking a risk, but I also know that we can't stay here any longer. We have to try something, anything, to save ourselves.
I take a step towards the door, my hand gripping my mace tightly. My ankle throbs in pain, but I ignore it, pushing through the agony with sheer determination. "You're right," I say to Merrin, my voice filled with gratitude. "We've got to try something."
I glance at the Guardian, my eyes narrowing as I take in his expression. He's confused, unsure of what to do. But that uncertainty is our only chance. "Come on," I say, grabbing Merrin's arm and pulling her towards the door. "Let's get out of here before this bastard changes his mind."
As we make our way towards the door, I can hear the sound of the collapse growing louder behind us. The ground shakes beneath our feet, and I know that we don't have much time left. "Hurry," I say, my voice urgent and filled with fear. "We've got to get out of here now."
As we reach the door, I can see the Guardian watching us, his sword still gripped tightly in his hand. But he doesn't move to stop us, and I know that we've won. We've beaten him, and now we're free.
I push open the door, and we step through into the unknown. The tunnel beyond is dark and narrow, but it's our only way out. And as we make our way deeper into the tower, I know that we'll find a way to survive, no matter what stands in our way.
