As we navigate the treacherous passage, the sound of rushing water grows louder, and the ground beneath us trembles with each passing moment. Suddenly, a section of the tunnel wall collapses behind us, sending rubble tumbling down the narrow passage. We're now trapped on one side of the wall, with the Guardian's warning echoing in our ears: "The main chamber is collapsing in mere moments."

The rubble piles up, blocking our path and forcing us to move laterally to avoid being crushed. Varikka's injured ankle throbs in pain as she struggles to put weight on it. With each step, the ground seems to shift beneath us, making it harder to maintain balance. The Guardian stands before us, his eyes fixed on us with an unreadable expression. "You have two options," he says, his voice dripping with malice. "You can either try to find a way around me and escape, or you can try to reason with me and convince me to stop the collapse."

Merrin and I exchange a nervous glance, weighing our options. Do we try to outmaneuver the Guardian and escape, or do we attempt to reason with him?

Merrin

Merrin · Rogue

I exchange a nervous glance with Varikka, my heart pounding in my chest as I try to process the Guardian's words. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and the ground beneath us trembles with each passing moment.

I take a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves as I look at the Guardian. "Listen," I say, my voice strained but firm. "We don't want any trouble. We just want to find a way out of here alive. So why don't we put our differences aside and work together to survive this?"

I keep my eyes fixed on the Guardian, my hand tightening around the hilt of my crossbow. I know that we're outnumbered and outmatched, but I also know that we have no choice but to try.

Varikka nods beside me, her mace at the ready. "She's right," she says, her voice tight with pain and determination. "We need to work together if we want to survive this. So what do you say, Guardian? Are you willing to put aside your differences for the sake of our survival?"

The Guardian watches us with an unreadable expression, his hand still resting on the hilt of his sword. "You have a choice," he says, his voice dripping with malice. "You can either try to find a way around me and escape, or you can try to reason with me and convince me to stop the collapse."

I take a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves as I weigh our options. Do we try to outmaneuver the Guardian and escape, or do we attempt to reason with him?

I glance at Varikka, my eyes filled with fear and uncertainty. "What do you think?" I ask, my voice barely audible over the din of the collapse. "Do we have any other choice but to try and convince him?"

Varrika · Fighter

I grit my teeth in pain as I try to put weight on my injured ankle, the throbbing agony making it hard to focus. "Listen, you bastard," I growl, my voice strained but filled with anger. "I don't care what your deal is or what you want from us. All I know is that we're running out of time, and if we don't find a way out of here soon, we're all going to die."

I take a step forward, wincing as my ankle twists beneath me. "So why don't we put our differences aside for now and focus on survival? We can hash out whatever beef you've got with us later, once we're not being crushed by this collapsing shithole."

The Guardian watches me with an unreadable expression, his hand still resting on the hilt of his sword. "You have a choice," he says, his voice dripping with malice. "You can either try to find a way around me and escape, or you can try to reason with me and convince me to stop the collapse."
