Round 604 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As we continue to navigate the treacherous tunnel, I fumble in my pack for a spare torch, relief washing over me when I find one that still has fuel left. The flickering flame casts eerie shadows on the walls, making it seem like the very stones are reaching out to snuff it out. With a newfound sense of determination, I help Varikka to her feet, her injured ankle still throbbing with pain. As we make our way down the tunnel, the sound of rushing water grows louder, and I can feel the ground beneath my feet slipping away from us. Suddenly, a loud rumble echoes through the passage, and I stumble, almost losing my balance. Varikka grabs onto me, her grip tight with fear. "What's happening?" she whispers, her voice barely audible over the din of the collapse. The Guardian appears at the entrance to the tunnel, a look of grim satisfaction on his face. "You're running out of time," he says, his voice dripping with malice. "The main chamber is collapsing in mere moments. You'll have to move quickly if you want to escape." With that, he steps aside, revealing a narrow opening in the wall, partially hidden by a tangle of debris. Do we:
- Investigate the opening in the wall
- Attempt to find another way out
- Prepare to face whatever is coming from the main chamber
I tense up at the sound of the collapse, my heart pounding in my chest. I can feel Varikka's grip tighten on my arm, her fingers digging into my flesh. "We need to move," I whisper, my voice strained with urgency. I glance around, trying to spot any signs of danger or escape routes.
The Guardian's words echo in my mind, and I know that we don't have much time. "That opening looks like our best bet," I mutter, gesturing towards the narrow passage. "But we need to be careful. Who knows what's waiting for us on the other side?"
I take a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. I can feel the weight of the tower pressing down on us from above, and I know that we need to act quickly if we want to survive. "Alright," I say, helping Varikka to her feet. "Let's see what's waiting for us in there."
I take a step towards the opening, my hand reaching for my crossbow just in case. I can feel the weight of the sword at my hip, a reminder of why we're here in the first place. "Stay close," I whisper to Varikka, my voice low and urgent. "And be ready for anything."
As we make our way towards the opening, I keep my eyes peeled for any signs of danger. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and I know that we need to keep moving if we want to survive. But with Varikka's injured ankle and the instability of the tunnel, it's going to be a slow and dangerous journey.

With a final glance back at the Guardian, I step through the opening, my heart pounding in my chest as I try to navigate the treacherous path ahead.
I grimace as Merrin helps me to my feet, my ankle throbbing with pain. The sound of the collapse echoes through the tunnel, sending shivers down my spine. "That opening looks like our only way out," I mutter, wincing as I try to put weight on my injured ankle. "But I don't know if I can make it through there in this state."
I glance back at the Guardian, a look of suspicion crossing my face. "And who knows if he's telling the truth about the collapse?" I ask, my voice tight with pain and uncertainty. I know that we can't stay here, but the thought of putting myself in even more danger makes my stomach churn.
I take a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. "Alright," I say, nodding towards the opening. "Let's see what's waiting for us in there. But we need to be careful. We can't risk falling into any more traps or pitfalls."
