Round 594 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

The Guardian's voice rings out, its tone cold and detached. "You will not leave this place alive." The ground shudders beneath Varikka's feet as a loud crack echoes through the chamber. A section of the wall behind her collapses, sending debris crashing to the ground. The air is filled with the sound of falling rocks and dust.
I hear the ominous crack of stone behind us and feel a chill run down my spine at The Guardian's cold words. But I don't let it stop me - we have to keep moving if we want to survive this place.
I grab Varikka's arm, helping her steady herself as the ground trembles beneath our feet. "Come on," I say, my voice tight with urgency. "We can't stay here."
Together, we start to move forward, following the path illuminated by the bioluminescent mushrooms. I can feel the weight of the tower pressing down upon us from above, the ancient stones groaning and shifting as they struggle to hold back the crushing force of the earth.
But even as fear threatens to overwhelm me, I push it aside. This is a fight for survival, and I'll do whatever it takes to keep Varikka and myself alive, no matter the cost. So I grit my teeth against the pain in my ankle and take another step forward, my mace at the ready as we venture deeper into this place of ancient stone and bioluminescent mushrooms.
I know that something is watching us from the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. But I push the thought aside, focusing instead on keeping my balance as the ground trembles beneath our feet. The sound of falling debris grows louder with each passing moment, and I can feel the sweat beading on my brow as we press on into the unknown.
Varikka: I feel the ground tremble beneath my feet, and hear the ominous crack of stone behind us. The Guardian's words echo in my mind, cold and detached. But I don't let them shake me - we have a mission, and I intend to see it through.
I grab Merrin's arm, steadying myself as I pull her along. "On your feet, dwarf," I growl, my voice strained with urgency. "We can't afford to waste time wallowing in fear."
Together, we start to move forward, following the path illuminated by the bioluminescent mushrooms. The ancient stones groan and shift above us, and I can feel the weight of the tower pressing down from all sides.

I know that we need to find a way to stabilize the chamber before it's too late, but the Guardian's control of the situation makes it clear that every step forward is a gamble against the crushing weight of the tower's collapse. But I don't let fear stop me - I've faced worse in my time as a warrior, and I intend to see this through to the end, no matter what it takes.
