As Merrin helps Varikka up, the chamber lurches violently again, sending rocks and dust falling towards them. The beam she was holding wobbles precariously under her grip, threatening to fall and crush them both. Varikka's injured leg throbs in agony as she struggles to put weight on it. The Guardian's voice echoes through the chamber, "Time is almost up. You must stabilize Varikka's ankle now." Suddenly, a loud creaking sound intensifies, and the shelves above them begin to collapse. A section of the wall behind them gives way, sending a cascade of rocks and debris tumbling towards them. Varikka cries out in pain as the beam under Merrin's grip snaps, sending both of them tumbling to the ground. The Guardian's voice rises in warning, "The chamber is collapsing! You must escape now!"

As Merrin helps me up, I feel a wave of pain wash over me as I try to put weight on my injured leg. The chamber lurches violently again, sending rocks and dust falling towards us. "Merrin, I can't... I can't walk," I gasp, my face contorted in pain. "The pain... it's too much."

I look around frantically, my eyes darting from shelf to shelf as I search for anything that could serve as a makeshift crutch or splint. "We need to get out of here now," I say urgently, my voice laced with desperation. "Merrin, can you help me?"

As the chamber begins to collapse around us, I feel a wave of panic wash over me. We're trapped, and we have no idea how to get out. "Merrin, we need to find a way out of here," I say, my voice trembling slightly. "We can't trust this thing."

I glance back at the Guardian, my eyes narrowing in suspicion. "You," I say, my tone rough and challenging, "what are you? And what do you want with us?"

As Merrin points to a small opening in the wall, I feel a surge of hope mixed with fear. "There!" I exclaim, pointing to the exit. "I think I see a way out!"

I turn back to Merrin, my expression grim but determined. "We're going to have to move me," I say, my voice soft but urgent. "It's the only way we're going to get out of here in time."

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for the pain and effort required to escape. "Help me up, Merrin," I say, my tone brooking no argument. "We're getting out of here, even if I have to crawl."

I feel a surge of panic as the beam under my grip snaps, sending both of us tumbling to the ground. I scramble to my feet, ignoring the pain in my own body as I reach for Varikka. "Varikka! Are you alright?" I ask urgently, helping her up.

I look around frantically, my eyes scanning the chamber for any signs of an escape route. The Guardian's voice echoes through the room, warning us that the chamber is collapsing. "We have to move now!" I exclaim, my voice laced with desperation.

I spot a small opening in the wall, just big enough for us to squeeze through. "There!" I point, my heart racing. "That's our way out!"

I turn to Varikka, my expression grim but determined. "Can you crawl? We need to get out of here now, before the whole place comes down on top of us." I move to support her as she struggles to bear weight on her injured leg.

As we make our way towards the opening, I keep a wary eye on the Guardian, my hand resting on the hilt of my dagger just in case. "Whoever you are," I mutter under my breath, "you'd better not be planning on stopping us."

I help Varikka through the opening, my heart pounding as we squeeze through the narrow passage. The sounds of collapsing stone and falling debris echo behind us, and I feel a rush of relief as we emerge into the relative safety of the next chamber.
