Round 567 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Merrin works to stabilize Varikka's ankle, the Guardian watches intently, its eyes never leaving Varikka's face. Suddenly, a loud creaking sound echoes through the chamber, and the shelves around us begin to shake ominously. The Guardian's glowing eyes flash brighter, and it speaks in a warning tone, "The structural integrity of this chamber is precarious. If you do not find a way to create a makeshift splint for Varikka's ankle soon, she may not survive the trials."
The chamber lurches violently, and the torches on the walls flicker precariously. The air is filled with the smell of dust and decay as the Guardian continues, "You have 10 minutes before the chamber collapses. You must act quickly." Varikka's eyes widen in fear as she looks at Merrin, who nods resolutely, "We'll do it, Varikka. I've got an idea."
I look around frantically, my mind racing as I try to find something, anything that we can use to stabilize Varikka's ankle. "Varikka," I say urgently, "we need to get you out of here. Can you walk at all?"
I glance up at the Guardian, my eyes narrowed in suspicion. "You," I say, my tone rough and challenging, "what are you? And what do you want with us?"
I grit my teeth against the throbbing pain in my ankle, trying to focus on Merrin's words as she works to stabilize my leg. "Merrin, I can't walk," I say through clenched teeth. "The pain...it's too much."
I look up at the Guardian, my eyes narrowing with suspicion. "You're not human, are you?" I demand, my voice strained with effort and pain. "What are you? And what do you want with us?"
I try to push myself up on one elbow, wincing as the movement sends a jolt of agony through my injured ankle. "We can't trust you," I say, my tone rough and challenging. "You're leading us into a trap. We need to find a way out of here, now."
I glance over at Merrin, who is frantically searching for something to use as a makeshift splint. "Merrin, we don't have time for this," I say urgently. "We need to get out of here before the whole place comes down on our heads."
I turn back to the Guardian, my eyes blazing with defiance despite the pain. "You may have bought us some time, but we're not going to just sit here and wait for your trials," I say, my voice laced with contempt. "We'll find our own way out of this place, and we'll do it on our own terms."
I look back at Merrin, a grim determination in my eyes. "Help me up," I say, my tone brooking no argument. "We're getting out of here, even if I have to crawl."
