As the Guardian leads them deeper into the tower, its heavy footsteps echo off the stone walls, making it difficult for Varikka to keep up due to her sprained ankle. She grits her teeth, managing to take a step forward with each painful movement. The air grows colder, and the smell of damp earth fills their nostrils. The Guardian pauses at a large stone door, its eyes fixed on them with an unnerving intensity. "This is where you'll find what you're looking for," it says, its voice low and menacing. "But first, you must prove your worthiness."

With that, the Guardian raises a hand, and the door slams shut behind them, trapping them in a small room filled with a thick layer of fog. The Guardian's eyes glow with an eerie light, illuminating the room and casting long shadows on the walls.

Merrin

Merrin · Rogue

I squint into the fog, my eyes straining to make out any details in the gloom. The air is thick and heavy, making it hard to breathe, and the silence is deafening save for the occasional drip of water from somewhere unseen.

"Worthiness?" I mutter under my breath, my hand tightening on my dagger. "What kind of trial are we about to face?"

I glance at Varikka, seeing the strain on her face as she struggles to keep her balance on her injured ankle. The thought of leaving her side fills me with a deep unease, but I know that we can't afford to hesitate now.

Taking a deep breath, I take a step forward, my dagger held out before me as I scan the shadows for any sign of danger. "Alright," I say, my voice steady despite the fear churning in my gut. "Let's see what this thing has in store for us."

And with that, I begin to move deeper into the fog, my senses on high alert as I search for any hint of the trials that await us. Whatever this room holds, whatever challenges we must face - we will face them together, come what may.

Varrika

Varrika · Fighter

I grit my teeth as we step into the thick fog, my hand tightening on the hilt of my mace. The air is heavy and damp, making it hard to breathe, and the silence is oppressive save for the occasional drip of water from somewhere unseen.

"Worthiness?" I mutter under my breath, my eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of danger. "What kind of trial are they talking about?"

I glance at Merrin, seeing the determination in their eyes as they move forward into the unknown. Part of me wants to reach out, to grab them and pull them back - but I know that we can't afford to hesitate now. Whatever this room holds, whatever challenges we must face - we will face them together, come what may.

Taking a deep breath, I take a step forward, my mace held at the ready as I search the fog for any hint of the trials that await us. "Alright," I say, my voice steady despite the fear churning in my gut. "Let's see what this thing has in store for us."

And with that, I begin to move deeper into the fog, my senses on high alert as I scan the shadows for any sign of danger. Whatever this room holds, whatever challenges we must face - we will face them head-on, no matter the cost.

So I keep moving forward, my mace at the ready and my eyes fixed on the darkness ahead, knowing that the only way out is through - and that the trials we face in this place will test us in ways we can't even imagine.
