The tension in narrow stone passageway deep within the tower; unstable structure overhead tightens for a beat as the interruption refuses to go away. Everyone is forced to stay quiet and choose their next move carefully.

I crouch low to the ground, my hand on my dagger as I listen to the Guardian's approach. The ancient stones groan and shift around us, threatening to collapse at any moment - but for now, we are still alive, and as long as we have each other, there is still hope.

"Varikka," I whisper, my voice barely audible over the rumbling of the tower. "We need to move. Now."

I glance around the platform, my eyes scanning the darkness for any signs of pursuit. But all I see is dust and cobwebs, clinging to the walls like ghostly tendrils.

"Can you make it down those stairs?" I ask, my hand tightening on her arm. "We'll have to be quick and quiet - that thing is coming for us, and if we don't get out of here soon, we'll be trapped."

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for the long descent ahead. The ground continues to shake beneath our feet, and the ancient stones groan and shift around us. But for now, we are still alive, and as long as we have each other, there is still hope.

"Alright," I say firmly, my hand on the hilt of my dagger. "Let's go. Stay close to me, and watch your step. We'll make it out of this place, even if we have to fight our way through."

Together, we turn towards the stairs, our torches held high and our weapons at the ready. The Guardian's approach echoes through the tower, growing louder by the second - but for now, we are still free, and as long as we keep moving forward, there is a chance that we might just survive this nightmare after all.

I take a deep breath, and begin the long, treacherous climb down into the depths of the tower. The Guardian's approach echoes through the darkness, growing louder by the second - but for now, we are still alive, and as long as we have each other, there is still hope.

"You're right, Merrin," I mutter, my voice barely audible over the rumbling of the tower. "We need to move. Now."
