As Varikka leans heavily on Merrin's shoulder, the ground beneath them creaks ominously. The unstable stone structure above groans, its weight threatening to come crashing down. A loud crack echoes through the chamber, and a section of the wall gives way, sending rocks tumbling down the passage. Varikka's eyes widen in alarm as she realizes they're now trapped between the rising floodwaters and the falling debris. Merrin's grip on her arm tightens, and she pulls her closer. "We need to move, now!" she shouts above the din of the falling rocks. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and the creature shapes moving beneath the surface of the waters begin to make themselves known, their faint scratching and slapping sounds getting closer. Varikka's sprained ankle throbs in agony as she struggles to put weight on it, but she knows they can't stay here. The question is, how will they escape the deadly trap that's closing in around them?

Merrin · Rogue

I feel Varikka's weight shift against me as she struggles to put pressure on her injured ankle. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and the creatures beneath the surface seem to be drawing closer, their movements more pronounced. I know we can't stay here much longer.

"Varikka, can you make it a few more feet?" I ask, my voice strained with effort as I try to support her weight. "We need to get to higher ground before this whole place comes down around us."

I glance around the chamber, searching for any sign of an escape route. The unstable stone structure overhead groans ominously, and a section of the wall gives way, sending rocks tumbling down the passage. I flinch as they strike my back, but I don't have time to dwell on the pain.

"Come on," I say, pulling Varikka closer and starting to move towards a small ledge on the far side of the chamber. "We'll be safer there."

As we make our way through the debris-strewn floor, I can feel the ground shifting beneath our feet. The water is rising quickly, and I know it won't be long before it reaches our knees. But I refuse to let panic set in. We have to keep moving if we want to survive.

"Almost there," I mutter, my teeth gritted as I help Varikka up onto the ledge. "Now we just need to find a way out of this room before the whole place collapses."

I look around, searching for any sign of a passage or hidden door. But all I see are crumbling walls and piles of rubble. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and I know we can't stay here much longer.

"Any ideas?" I ask, turning to Varikka with a desperate look in my eye. "Because right now, I'm fresh out of plans."

I grit my teeth against the pain radiating from my ankle and shift my weight to take some strain off Merrin. "Thanks for getting me out of there, Merrin," I mutter, my voice tight. "You saved my ass back there."

I scan the chamber, my eyes narrowing as I take in the crumbling walls and rising water level. "Looks like we've got a real mess on our hands this time," I say grimly. "And not much room to maneuver with this ankle."
