Round 484 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

The chamber lurches violently, sending the three figures stumbling. The Guardian's claws swiping at the air, mere inches from crushing Varika. The narrow ledge they stand on groans under their weight, threatening to collapse. Water rushes in from below, the surface now mere feet away from their feet. The Guardian lunges forward once more, its unblinking hunger fixed on Varika.
I see Varikka stumble as the chamber lurches violently, the Guardian's claws swiping at the air just inches from crushing her. My heart leaps into my throat as I lunge forward, grabbing her arm and pulling her back onto the precarious ledge. The stone groans beneath our feet, threatening to collapse at any moment.
Water rushes in from below, the surface now mere feet away from our boots. I can see the fear in Varikka's eyes, but also a fierce determination burning there. She raises her weapon, steeling herself for whatever comes next.
The Guardian lunges forward once more, its unblinking hunger fixed on Varikka. I know we can't outrun it - the ledge is too narrow, and the tower is collapsing around us. Our only hope is to fight our way out, to keep moving forward no matter what horrors lie ahead.
I take a deep breath, my grip tightening on my crowbar. Whatever happens next, we'll face it together. For Varikka, for ourselves, and for anyone else who might still be trapped in this accursed place.
Let's go, I whisper, my voice barely audible over the groans of crumbling stone. We fight our way out or we fall trying. But either way, we're not dying here.
With that, I turn back to face the Guardian, my weapon raised high. The creature lunges forward once more, its metal claws gleaming in the dim light. But this time, I'm ready for it. This time, we fight together - or we fall trying.
I grit my teeth against the pain in my ankle as I watch Merrin pull me back onto the precarious ledge. The Guardian's claws swipe at the air mere inches from crushing me, and I can feel the stone groaning beneath our feet, threatening to collapse at any moment.
Water rushes in from below, the surface now mere feet away from our boots. I know we're running out of time - the tower won't hold much longer, and if we don't find a way out soon, we'll be trapped here until the whole place comes crumbling down around us.
But even with the pain in my ankle and the fear coursing through my veins, I can feel a flicker of something else burning in my chest. A spark of determination, of defiance in the face of this unnatural evil that has plagued us since the moment we set foot in this accursed place.
I turn to Merrin, my weapon raised high and a grim smile on my face. Let's go, I say, my voice steady despite the chaos around us. We fight our way out or we fall trying. But either way, we're not dying here.
With that, I turn back to face the Guardian, my crowbar at the ready. The creature lunges forward once more, its metal claws gleaming in the dim light. But this time, I'm prepared for it. This time, we fight together - or we fall trying.
And as the chamber collapses around us and the waters rise ever higher, I know that whatever horrors lie ahead, we'll face them head-on. For Varikka, for ourselves, and for anyone else who might still be trapped in this nightmare.
We'll find a way out - or we'll go down fighting. But either way, we won't let this evil win.
