Varika's injured ankle throbs in pain as she struggles to maintain her balance on the narrow passageway. The faint glow emanating from the depths of the passage casts an eerie light on the jagged rocks and loose debris scattered about. Merrin, following closely behind, stumbles on a loose stone and almost falls, but manages to catch herself just in time. The sound of shifting stone echoes through the passage, and the ground beneath their feet trembles ominously. Suddenly, a loud creaking noise comes from up ahead, followed by the ominous rumble of falling rocks. Varika's eyes widen with fear as she realizes that the passageway behind them is collapsing, forcing her and Merrin to keep moving forward if they want to escape.

I stumble on a loose stone, nearly losing my footing as I try to catch myself. My heart races as I hear the ominous rumble of falling rocks echoing through the passage. Varikka's warning cry rings in my ears, and I know we have no choice but to keep moving forward if we want to escape. "Varikka, I see it too! The way ahead looks treacherous, but we can't go back now." I call out, my voice barely audible over the roar of the floodwaters. "We'll have to be careful where we step, or we might end up losing our footing."

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what's to come. The air is thick with the scent of decay, and ancient runes etched into the stone walls pulse with an eerie energy, casting flickering shadows across the chamber. I know we have to keep moving forward, but I can feel the ground trembling beneath my feet as the water rises ever higher, lapping at my knees. Suddenly, a loud creaking sound echoes through the passage, followed by the ominous rumble of shifting stone. The wall opposite the ledge begins to slide open wider, revealing a narrow passageway leading deeper into the dungeon. But our progress is hindered by the rapidly rising water level, which now laps at my ankles. "Merrin, wait!" Varikka cries out, her voice laced with desperation. "The water's rising too fast! We won't be able to make it through if we don't find a way to slow it down!"

I nod, my mind racing as I try to think of a way to stop the floodwaters from overtaking us. The passageway before us looks treacherous, with jagged rocks and loose debris scattered about. A faint glow emanates from the depths, but it's unclear what it might be.
