Merrin's eyes scan the darkness ahead, her hand tightening around the hilt of her mace. The water pressure gauge on the wall flickers wildly, and the ground trembles beneath their feet as a section of the staircase collapses behind them. A burst of dust and debris fills the air, momentarily obscuring the faint glimmer of light in the distance.

My heart pounds as I hear the rumble of the staircase collapsing behind us, the burst of dust and debris making me cough. I can feel Varikka tense beside me, her grip on her mace tightening. Keep moving! I hiss, grabbing her arm and pulling her forward through the cloud of dust. We can't afford to get trapped here! The faint glimmer of light in the distance grows closer as we stumble through the rubble, and I can make out the outline of a chamber ahead.

As we emerge from the dust, I take in our surroundings with a sharp eye. The chamber is large and circular, with high ceilings and thick stone walls. In the center is a raised dais, upon which sits a massive stone door, covered in strange symbols and runes. Varikka, I mutter, do you see that? I point to the door, my brow furrowing as I study the runes. Those look like some kind of lock or wards. We might need to find a way to open it. I take a few tentative steps forward, my mace at the ready. The air in the chamber is thick with the scent of damp earth and decay, and I can hear the sound of rushing water coming from somewhere in the distance. Varikka, I hiss, watch for any signs of danger. We don't know what might be hiding in here. As we make our way towards the dais, I find myself scanning the shadows, my eyes darting back and forth as I search for any movement or sound. The Guardian's voice echoes through the chamber once more, sending a chill down my spine. "You fools; you think you can escape the tower? The Guardian awaits, and so does the unknown figure in the new chamber."

I grit my teeth, my grip tightening on my mace. I don't know what that thing is talking about, I mutter, but I have a feeling we're about to find out. I take another step forward, my eyes fixed on the dais ahead. Varikka, I hiss, stay alert. Whatever's waiting for us in there, we face it together.
