Round 411 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

The wooden bridge creaks ominously, its integrity failing with each passing second. The massive boulder that hurtled down the chamber earlier now comes to rest mere feet away, its impact still resonating through the stone around us. As we make a final dash for the narrow opening in the wall ahead, the ground beneath us gives a final, desperate shudder, and then collapses into the depths below.
My heart races as we stagger towards the narrow opening in the wall, the ground crumbling beneath our feet. I can feel the panic rising in my throat, threatening to choke me, but I force it down, focusing every ounce of my energy on reaching that tiny glimmer of hope.
The wooden bridge behind us groans ominously, its integrity failing with each passing second. But there's no time to look back now. All that matters is making it to that opening, squeezing through whatever tight space it offers, and escaping this nightmare before the entire tunnel collapses around us.
With a final burst of speed, I throw myself forward, my arms outstretched as I reach for the opening. My fingers brush against the rough stone, and I claw at it frantically, trying to find a handhold, a way to pull myself through. Varikka is right behind me, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she follows my lead.
And then, just as I'm about to lose hope altogether, I feel a rush of cool air against my skin. It's working! With a final, desperate effort, I pull myself through the opening, tumbling into the unknown on the other side. Varikka is right behind me, her body pressing against mine as she struggles to follow.
For a moment, we lie there panting on the cold stone floor, our hearts pounding in our chests as we struggle to catch our breath. And then, slowly, the reality of our situation begins to sink in. We're alive. We've made it out of that nightmare of a tunnel, and even though we don't know where we are or what dangers still lie ahead, we're together, and for now, that's enough.
I turn to look at Varikka, my eyes meeting hers in the dim light. "We did it," I whisper, hardly daring to believe it myself. "We made it out alive."
And with that, I let out a shaky laugh, the sound echoing off the stone walls around us as I pull Varikka into a tight embrace, both of us clinging to each other like our lives depend on it.
