Round 376 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As they step through the door, a loud gurgle echoes through the passageway ahead, growing louder with each passing moment. The air is thick with the stench of decay and rot. Varikka's eyes scan the darkness, her hand tightening on the handle of her mace. Suddenly, a faint, flickering light appears in the distance, casting eerie shadows on the walls. The whispers seem to be coming from all around them now, a cacophony of urgent, unsettling murmurs. Merrin's grip on her dagger tightens as she moves forward, her eyes fixed on the light source. It's hard to make out what it is, but it seems to be pulsing with an otherworldly energy. "We need to get closer," Varikka says urgently, her voice barely above a whisper. "But we can't let our guard down – we don't know what's waiting for us."
The passageway begins to slope downward, leading deeper into the heart of the tower. The light grows brighter, illuminating a series of ancient, dusty artifacts scattered along the walls. But amidst the relics, something catches Merrin's eye: a small, leather-bound book lying open on a nearby pedestal, its pages fluttering in the faint breeze. The ground beneath their feet shudders violently, and the sound of rushing water grows even louder. It's clear that time is running out – and they're not alone.
