Round 375 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

The massive boulder hurtles towards them, mere feet away from the door. It crashes into the wall with a deafening roar, sending rocks and debris flying everywhere. The ground shudders violently, causing the cables to tighten even further. The air is filled with the acrid smell of dust and smoke. Merrin's eyes are fixed on the door, her hand still grasping the rusty metal as if it might provide some kind of protection. Varikka stands beside her, her mace at the ready, scanning the shadows for any signs of movement. The whispers seem to be growing louder, more urgent, but Merrin can't quite make out what they're saying. Varikka's voice is tight with urgency as she speaks, "Merrin, we need to get moving - now. We don't have much time before the water rises any further." The sound of rushing water grows louder, and the pressure on their precarious position increases exponentially.
Merrin's heart races as she hears the boulder crash into the wall behind them, sending rocks and debris flying everywhere. She flinches at the deafening roar, her hand still grasping the rusty metal door handle as if it might provide some kind of protection.
Varikka's voice cuts through the haze of dust and smoke, tight with urgency. "Merrin, we need to get moving - now. We don't have much time before the water rises any further."
Merrin nods, her eyes fixed on the narrow passageway ahead. The whispers seem to be growing louder, more urgent, but she can't quite make out what they're saying. She takes a deep breath, steeling herself for whatever lies ahead.
"You're right," she says, her voice tight with determination. "Let's see where this leads us. And Varikka? Watch our backs. We don't know what's waiting for us on the other side."
With that, Merrin steps through the door, her hand instinctively going to the hilt of her dagger as she enters the unknown ahead. The air is thick with the acrid smell of dust and smoke, and the sound of rushing water grows louder with each passing second.
But Merrin doesn't have time to dwell on the ominous sounds. She knows that they're in for a fight, and she's ready to do whatever it takes to protect Varikka - and to uncover the secrets of this place once and for all.
