Merrin's voice cuts through the din of rushing water as she shouts, "We need to move! The tunnel is collapsing!" She glances at Varikka, her expression grim. "Are you ready to keep going?"

Varikka nods, her injured hand throbbing in pain. "I'm good," she says, her voice strained. "Let's just find a way out of this place."

Merrin nods, her eyes scanning the tunnel ahead. The flickering torches cast eerie shadows on the stone walls, and the air is thick with dust. Suddenly, a loud crack echoes through the tunnel, and the ground shudders beneath their feet. The boulder they shifted earlier teeters precariously on the edge of the ledge, its weight threatening to tip it back into the water below. Merrin's eyes lock onto the boulder, her face set in determination. "We need to stabilize it," she says, her voice firm. "If we don't, it'll come crashing down and—"

A loud rumble shakes the tunnel, making it hard for them to hear each other. The water pressure is building, and the stone is unstable.

I glance at the precariously balanced boulder, my heart pounding in my chest. The sound of rushing water grows louder by the second, and I can feel the ground shaking beneath my feet.

"You're right," I say, turning to Varikka. "We need to keep moving. But we also can't let that boulder come crashing down behind us. It'll block our only escape route."

I scan the ledge, searching for any loose stones or debris that might help us stabilize the boulder. My eyes land on a pile of rubble just a few feet away, and I point to it with my mace.

"Help me push some of those rocks under the boulder," I say, already moving towards the pile. "It won't stop it from rolling, but it might slow it down enough for us to get clear."

Varikka nods, following me over to the rubble. Together, we start hauling the stones over to the boulder, wedging them under its base as best we can. The work is grueling, and my muscles scream in protest, but I know we have no choice.

As we finish up, I take a moment to catch my breath, wiping the sweat from my brow. "Alright," I say, turning back to Varikka. "That should buy us some time. Now let's keep moving - and stay alert. This tunnel is about to come down around our ears."

With that, I start making my way deeper into the passage, my mace at the ready and my eyes scanning for any sign of danger or potential refuge. The sound of rushing water grows louder with every step, and I can feel the ground shaking more violently beneath my feet.

But still, I press on, determined to find a way out of this damnable tunnel before it's too late.
