Round 360 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Varikka struggles to make her way up the narrow ledge, the Glowing-eyed creature lunges again, its screech echoing off the stone walls. Merrin quickly blocks its path, using the heavy mace from their inventory to deflect the creature's attack. However, the mace's weight and momentum cause it to slip from Merrin's grasp, and it clatters to the ground with a loud clang. The sound of the mace hitting the ground seems to startle the Glowing-eyed creature, causing it to momentarily hesitate. Varikka seizes this opportunity to pull herself up onto the ledge, her injured hand throbbing in pain. But as she reaches the top, she realizes that her footing is precarious, and she must find a way to secure herself before the creature recovers from its momentary distraction. The rising water pressure continues to increase, lapping at their ankles with growing urgency. The air grows colder and damper by the second, and Merrin knows they don't have much time.
I quickly scan the ledge Varikka is on, looking for any handholds or footholds she can use to secure her position. The water continues to rise, lapping at my ankles as I search frantically.
"Varikka!" I call out, my voice echoing off the stone walls. "Look for anything you can grab onto! We need to get you stable before that creature comes after you again!"
My eyes dart to the Glowing-eyed creature, which is still circling the room, its movements becoming more erratic as the water rises. I know it won't be long before it makes another attack, and we need to be ready.
I glance back at the ledge, my heart racing as I see Varikka struggling to find a foothold. The ledge is narrow, with only a few small protrusions that might provide some stability.
"Use your good hand!" I shout, pointing to a small crack in the stone just above where Varikka is standing. "Grab onto that! I'll try to keep the creature distracted!"
With that, I turn back to face the Glowing-eyed creature, my hand instinctively moving to my belt where my lockpicks should be. But they're gone, lost in the collapse of the wall. I feel naked without my tools, vulnerable in a way I haven't felt since I first set foot in this damnable tower.
I glance around the room, looking for anything I can use as a weapon. My eyes land on the heavy mace, still lying on the ground where it had fallen. I know it's too far away to reach easily, but it might be our only chance if the creature attacks again.
I turn back to Varikka, my expression grim but determined. "Hold on tight," I say, my voice low and urgent. "We're not out of this yet."
