Round 351 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Merrin's voice echoes through the chamber, her words laced with a mix of urgency and caution. "Show yourself, or I'll be forced to assume you mean us harm." The creature in the darkness takes another step back, its glowing eyes fixed on Merrin with an unnerving intensity. Varikka, still holding off the creatures at the edge of the ledge, calls out, "Merrin, be careful! We don't know what this thing is capable of!" As she speaks, the ground beneath her foot gives a slight tremor, and she stumbles, her shield clattering to the ground. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and the air seems to vibrate with the threat of collapse.
I take a deep breath, trying to still my racing heart as I keep my mace raised, ready to strike at a moment's notice. The creature in the darkness doesn't move, its glowing eyes fixed on me with an unsettling intensity. Varikka's words echo in my mind, her concern for my safety clashing with the growing sense of urgency that pulses through my veins. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and the ground beneath my feet trembles as if the very foundations of the tower are about to give way. I glance back at the ledge where Varikka is struggling to hold off the creatures, my heart aching with the knowledge that she may be trapped on the other side of this crumbling stone. "We need to find a way out of here," I call out, my voice strained with urgency. "The whole place is coming down!"
I take a cautious step forward, my eyes still fixed on the creature in the darkness. "You there," I say, my voice low and menacing. "We don't have time for games. If you mean us harm, now's your chance to prove it."
My words hang in the air, suspended between me and the unknown figure in the shadows. The only sound is the soft rustling of fabric against stone, a gentle warning that the creature is not yet ready to make its move. I brace myself for a fight, my muscles coiled and ready to strike at a moment's notice. But deep down, I know that we don't have time for this. Whatever this creature is, whatever secrets it holds, they pale in comparison to the immediate threat of collapse that looms over us. "Last chance," I growl, my voice low and menacing. "Show yourself, or I'll be forced to assume you mean us harm."
I take another step forward, my eyes narrowing as I try to make out any other details about the figure in the darkness. The chamber seems to grow colder, the air thick with the scent of decay and the sound of rushing water. "Varikka," I call out, my voice strained with urgency. "We need to move now. The whole place is coming down!"
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever comes next. Whatever path we choose, whatever dangers we face, we need to find a way out of here before the entire tower collapses around us. And so I wait, my mace at the ready, my eyes fixed on the creature in the darkness, as the seconds tick by and the sound of rushing water grows ever louder.
