Round 326 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Varikka helps Merrin to her feet, the sound of rushing water grows louder, and the ledge creaks ominously beneath their feet. The waves lap at the stone, threatening to wash them off into the depths. Merrin winces in pain as she puts weight on her injured ankle, and Varikka's eyes narrow with concern. "We need to move," Varikka says, her voice firm. "This ledge won't hold much longer. We can't afford to get trapped down here."
Merrin nods, wincing again as she shifts her weight. The cool air of the chamber provides some relief from the cold water and dampness of the tunnels they just escaped from. As they move further away from the doorway they emerged from, the water pressure increases exponentially, causing the stone walls to shudder and tremble. Suddenly, a loud crash echoes through the chamber, and the ground beneath them gives way with a deafening roar. The sound is followed by a massive stone slab plummeting down towards them, hurtling towards its inevitable collision with the ledge. Merrin's eyes widen in terror as she grabs onto Varikka's arm, her grip tightening in desperation. "We need to get out of here, now!" she shouts, her voice barely audible over the rising water pressure and the impending impact.
Merrin: Merrin's eyes fly open wide with terror as the massive stone slab comes hurtling towards them, the deafening roar of its impact echoing through the chamber. She clings to Varikka's arm, her heart pounding in her chest as she realizes just how close they are to being crushed by the falling debris. "Varikka, we need to move!" she shouts, her voice barely audible over the rising water pressure and the impending crash of the stone slab. "We can't afford to get trapped down here!"
Varikka nods, her eyes wide with fear as she helps Merrin to her feet. Together, they stumble away from the ledge, their movements unsteady and awkward as they try to avoid the falling debris. The water laps at their feet, threatening to wash them off into the depths, but they press on, determined to find a way out of this nightmare. As they move deeper into the chamber, Merrin's injured ankle throbs with every step, sending jolts of pain up her leg. But she grits her teeth and pushes forward, knowing that they can't afford to stop now. The air is heavy with the scent of mold and decay, and the walls seem to close in around them with each passing moment. Suddenly, a loud crash echoes through the chamber once again, and Merrin feels the ground beneath her feet tremble. She looks up, her heart sinking as she sees another stone slab plummeting down towards them, just like the one before. "Varikka, look out!" she screams, her voice hoarse with terror. But it's too late. The slab crashes down onto the ledge where they were standing just moments ago, sending a shower of debris flying through the air. Merrin feels a sharp pain in her leg as a piece of stone slams into her calf, and she cries out in agony, stumbling back against the wall. Varikka rushes to her side, her eyes wide with concern. "Merrin, are you alright?" she asks, her voice shaking. Merrin nods, wincing as she tries to put weight on her injured leg. "I'll be okay," she says, her teeth gritted in pain. "But we need to keep moving. We can't afford to stay here any longer."
Varikka helps Merrin to her feet once again, and together they limp deeper into the chamber, their hearts pounding with fear and adrenaline. The water laps at their feet, and the walls seem to close in around them with each passing moment. But as long as they have each other, Merrin knows that they can face whatever challenges lie ahead. Together, they will find a way out of this nightmare and back into the light.
