As Merrin frantically searches for a handhold, the water pressure continues to increase, threatening to crush her. With each passing moment, the ground beneath her feet becomes slicker and more treacherous. Suddenly, a faint scratching sound echoes through the passage, growing louder with each passing second. Merrin's eyes widen as she realizes that the creature, still reeling from her previous attack, is now closing in on her. The Guardian's voice cuts through the din of the collapsing structure, "You have only a few moments to escape before the structural collapse claims you!" With this warning, the ground gives way beneath Merrin's feet, sending her plummeting into the pit trap.

I lash out wildly with my dagger, striking sparks off the slick stone walls as I try to find any handhold or ledge to pull myself up and out of this watery grave. My heart hammers in my chest as the rising water threatens to crush me, and I can feel the ground beneath my feet giving way with each passing second. "Varikka!" I scream, my voice echoing through the passage. "I need your help! Reach down and grab my hand!"

But even as I call out to her, I know that she's still trapped in the grip of the Tentacled Horror, struggling for her own survival. The Guardian's warning rings in my ears: "You have only a few moments to escape before the structural collapse claims you." And as I fight against the rising water, I can't shake the feeling that something else is lurking in the shadows of this secret passage, watching and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The bioluminescent markings on the creature's hand pulse ominously, casting eerie shadows on the walls and hinting at the horrors that may be hidden just out of sight. I know that I'm taking a huge risk by venturing deeper into this unknown territory, but I can't leave Varikka behind. No matter what dangers may lie ahead, I have to keep moving forward, keep fighting to survive, until we can find our way out of this nightmare and back into the light. With a surge of determination, I redouble my efforts, slicing at the slick stone walls with my dagger and searching desperately for anything I can use to climb out of this pit. The water pressure continues to increase, threatening to crush me, but I refuse to give up. I know that I'm running out of time, but I won't let this be the end of our journey.
