Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Merrin's heart still racing from her narrow escape, she takes a moment to catch her breath before peering into the secret passage. The faint light emanating from within seems to pulse with an otherworldly energy, drawing her in with an irresistible force. As she steps forward, the air grows thick with the stench of decay and corruption, and the sound of scuttling creatures echoes through the passage. Suddenly, a long, spindly hand reaches out from the darkness, its fingers grasping for her ankle like skeletal fingers.
I freeze as the long, spindly hand reaches out of the shadows, its skeletal fingers grasping for my ankle. For a moment, I'm too shocked to move, my heart pounding in my chest as I stare at the horrific appendage. But then, my instincts kick in and I leap back, putting some distance between myself and the unknown creature lurking within the passage. I reach for my crossbow, my hands shaking slightly as I nock an arrow to the string. The faint light from within the passage seems to pulse with an otherworldly energy, and I can hear the scuttling of unseen creatures echoing through the stone walls. I know I should turn back, should try to find another way out of this nightmare. But something about that secret passage calls to me, a siren song promising answers and escape from the horrors that pursue me. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what lies ahead. And then, with a final glance back at the crumbling staircase and the watery depths below, I step forward into the unknown, my crossbow at the ready and my senses on high alert. Whatever lies waiting in that passage, I'll face it head-on. I have to. It's the only way out of this hellhole alive.
