Round 233 Transcript

Merrin's eyes lock onto the glimmering metallic object, her vision blurring with desperation. She kicks out with a leg, using it to propel herself forward, the tentacles momentarily loosening their grip. The water churns around her, threatening to pull her down, as she swims towards the object with all her remaining strength.

I kick off the bottom hard, propelling myself toward that glimmer of light. The tentacles loosen for just a moment and I surge forward, my arms slicing through the water. My lungs scream for air but I push harder, fighting against the current. I reach out with my hand, stretching to grasp at whatever that metallic object is.
