Round 222 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Merrin steps out of the corridor, she's immediately confronted by a group of glowing-eyed creatures emerging from the darkness. The water in the chamber begins to churn and foam, as if responding to their approach. The rumbling sound from earlier grows louder, signaling that the structural collapse is closing in fast. Suddenly, a massive tentacle bursts out of the depths of the lake, wrapping around Merrin's leg and pulling her down into the water. The creatures begin to close in, their eyes fixed on Merrin with an unnerving intensity. The water pressure increases exponentially, threatening to crush Merrin beneath its surface. She must decide how to react: try to shake off the tentacle, use her surroundings to her advantage, or risk being dragged down into the depths of the lake. The ground beneath Merrin's feet trembles violently, making it difficult for her to maintain her grip on the stone floor. The structural collapse is getting closer, and Merrin knows she must act quickly to survive.
I let out a scream as I feel the tentacle wrap around my leg, pulling me down into the water. The creatures begin to close in, their eyes fixed on me with an unnerving intensity. I struggle against the tentacle's grip, my hands scrabbling at the rough stone of the chamber floor. But the water pressure is increasing exponentially, threatening to crush me beneath its surface.
I know that I don't have much time left to escape. The ground above me gives a slight rumble, and I realize that the structural collapse is getting worse. I take a deep breath and start to make my way towards the end of the chamber, my hands scrabbling for purchase on the rough stone.
As I reach the end of the chamber, I see a faint glimmer of light coming from somewhere up ahead. It's just a glimmer, but it's enough to give me hope. I know that I have to keep moving, no matter what it takes. With a deep breath, I step out into the unknown, my heart pounding in my chest as I wonder what new horrors await me in the depths of this ancient tower.
