As I step into the passageway, Varikka stumbles after me, her leg still sore from the boulder. The tentacled horror follows closely behind, its eyes fixed on us with an unnerving intensity. We can hear the sound of glowing eyes growing louder in the distance, and I know we're running out of time. The passageway is narrow and winding, with jagged rock formations that seem to press in on us from all sides. The air is thick with the scent of decay, and I can taste the dust and darkness on my tongue. Suddenly, a faint luminescence flickers to life ahead, casting eerie shadows on the walls. Varikka gasps, her eyes fixed on the light. "What is that?" she whispers, her voice trembling. I glance at the creature behind us, but it seems unfazed by the light. Instead, it begins to move forward, its tentacles writhing like a living thing. We're forced to move faster, and I know we need to decide how to proceed - follow the light, or try to escape through the winding passageway.

I take a deep breath, my heart pounding in my chest as I try to make sense of the situation. The rising water, the collapsing walls, the tentacled horror behind us - it's all too much to take in. But one thing is clear: we need to keep moving forward if we want to survive this nightmare.

I glance at Varikka, her face etched with pain and exhaustion. I know she's hurting, but we can't afford to stop now. With a nod of my head, I turn to the creature behind us. "Alright," I say, my voice tight with urgency. "You said you'd help us, so let's see what you can do."

The tentacled horror regards me for a moment, its eyes glowing in the darkness. Then, slowly, it begins to move forward, its tentacles writhing like a living thing. I follow close behind, my hand tight around the key and my dagger ready at my side.

As we move deeper into the passageway, the ground beneath our feet grows more treacherous, with loose rocks and debris littering the path. The air is thick with the scent of decay, and I can feel the weight of the tower pressing down on us from above. But we have no choice - we have to keep moving forward if we want to survive.

I turn to Varikka, my expression grave. "We need to make a decision," I say, my voice barely audible over the rushing water. "Do we follow the light, or try to find another way out of here?"
