Round 205 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As I finish speaking, the tentacled horror slowly withdraws its attack, its eyes fixed on me with a hint of curiosity. The water level continues to rise, but for now, it's still manageable. I take a step forward, holding out my hand in a gesture of peace. The creature regards me calmly, then nods its head again. With that, the tentacled horror slowly begins to move towards us, its tentacles writhing like a living thing. I realize that we're running out of time - the rising water is now waist-deep, and the ground shudders ominously beneath our feet. We need to find a way forward before it's too late. Suddenly, Seraphine gasps, pointing to a small inscription on the wall. "Look!" she exclaims, her voice trembling. "It's a riddle!" The inscription reads: "Where shadows fall, light rises. Seek the keystone in darkness."
I study the riddle, my brow furrowing as I try to make sense of it. Where shadows fall, light rises... seek the keystone in darkness. The words echo in my mind, but their meaning remains elusive.
I glance around the chamber, my eyes darting from shadow to shadow, looking for any sign of a hidden entrance or a clue that might lead us to the keystone. But there's nothing, only the damp walls and the rising water lapping at our feet.
Suddenly, a thought occurs to me. I turn to Seraphine, my expression grave. "The key," I say, my voice barely audible over the rushing water. "It has to be the key. The riddle says to seek the keystone in darkness, and we have this tarnished old key."
I hold up the key, its surface gleaming in the torchlight. I can feel the weight of it in my hand, the way it seems to pulse with an otherworldly energy. I step forward, my hand outstretched, and touch the key to the wall where the riddle is inscribed.
For a moment, nothing happens. But then, slowly, a hidden panel slides open, revealing a narrow passageway leading deeper into the heart of the tower. The air beyond is musty and thick with the scent of decay, but there's a sense of power to it, like the key has unlocked something important.
