Round 198 Transcript

Varikka's eyes widen as the creatures close in, their bioluminescent markings casting eerie shadows on the water. She raises her torch, attempting to fend them off, but there are too many. The air is thick with the stench of decay and the sound of rushing water. A glowing-eyed creature lunges forward, its jaws open wide, and Varikka barely avoids its attack.

I hear the creatures closing in, their glowing eyes piercing through the darkness. Varikka's torch is barely keeping them at bay, but I can see more of them emerging from the water with each passing second. We're outnumbered and outmatched, and I know we won't be able to fight our way out of this.

I scan the area frantically, my mind racing to find a way out. The tower is collapsing around us, the water rising rapidly, and now these creatures have joined the fray. It's like we're trapped in a nightmare, with no escape in sight.

But as I look around, I spot something that gives me a glimmer of hope. There, across the lake, I see a small opening in the wall, just big enough for us to squeeze through. It's risky, and we'll be exposed as we make our way over there, but it might be our only chance.

I grab Varikka's arm, pulling her close so I can speak without the creatures hearing. "There," I say, nodding towards the opening. "If we can make it over there, we might be able to find a way out of this hellhole."

Varikka nods, her eyes wide with fear but determined. We turn to Seraphine, but she's still focused on the ancient symbol etched into the stone wall, her eyes locked on the markings as if in a trance.

I curse under my breath, knowing we don't have time for this. "Seraphine!" I shout, grabbing her by the shoulders and shaking her. "We need to go, now!"

She snaps out of her trance, her eyes refocusing on us. She nods, and together, the three of us start making our way towards the opening, our hearts pounding in our chests as we pray that we make it out alive.
