Round 177 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Merrin leads the way up the passage, Varikka and Seraphine struggle to keep up, their movements hampered by the cold water and the weight of their heavy armor. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and the passage begins to narrow, forcing the trio to move closer together. Suddenly, a faint glow emanates from up ahead, illuminating the darkness of the passage. "Look!" Merrin exclaims, her voice barely above a whisper. "A light source! It might be a way out."
But as they approach the source of the light, a new complication arises: the glowing eyes of the lake creatures are reflected in the water, making it impossible to tell friend from foe. The tentacled horror is closing in, its massive bulk mere feet behind them. With the passage collapsing around them, Merrin must make a quick decision: "We need to get out of here, now! Varikka, can you create a distraction? Seraphine, can you try and find a way to divert that creature's attention?"
I can feel my heart pounding in my chest as we make our way up the narrow passage, the cold water sloshing around our legs with each step. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and I know that we are racing against time, against the creatures, and against the rising tide itself.
As we round a corner, I spot a faint glow emanating from up ahead. "Look!" I exclaim, my voice barely above a whisper. "A light source! It might be a way out." But as we approach the source of the light, I realize with a sinking feeling that the glowing eyes of the lake creatures are reflected in the water, making it impossible to tell friend from foe.
The tentacled horror is closing in, its massive bulk mere feet behind us. With the passage collapsing around us, I know that we need to act fast. I turn to Varikka and Seraphine, my voice urgent as I call out: "We need to get out of here, now! Varikka, can you create a distraction? Seraphine, can you try and find a way to divert that creature's attention?"
I grip my mace tightly, ready to strike if necessary. But deep down, I know that our only hope is to find a way out of this labyrinthine nightmare - before it's too late.
