Round 125 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

The air is thick with the scent of decay as Seraphine stands firm, her eyes fixed on the symbols as they pulse with an otherworldly energy. The water swirls around her legs, but she remains steadfast, her gaze unwavering. As she does so, the carvings on the walls of the chamber shift and rearrrange themselves, spelling out a new message in bold, crimson letters: "The Devourer of Light approaches."
My heart races as I see the message on the wall shift once more, the ominous warning sending a chill down my spine. "The Devourer of Light approaches." Whatever that means, it can't be good. But I don't have time to dwell on it now. Merrin could be in serious trouble, and I have to find her before it's too late.
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what comes next. The water swirls around my legs, threatening to pull me under at any moment, but I can't afford to lose my footing now. With a final surge of courage, I step forward, my hands outstretched before me as I feel my way along the narrow ledge.
The ancient carvings on the walls seem to shift and rearrange themselves as I move, the messages changing with each step I take. It's like they're trying to warn me, to guide me through this treacherous path. But I can't afford to get lost in their cryptic riddles now. I have to keep moving, to find a way through this underwater chamber and back to the surface where Merrin might still be waiting.
As I push forward into the darkness, I can't shake the feeling that something terrible is lurking just beyond the edge of my vision, watching and waiting for the perfect moment to strike. But I won't let fear hold me back. I'll face whatever dangers lie ahead, no matter the cost. For Merrin. For Varikka. And for the chance to finally see the light of day again after all this time trapped in the depths.
I feel a jolt of icy fear course through me as I read the ominous warning on the wall. The Devourer of Light approaches. Whatever that means, it can't be good. But I push down my rising panic. Merrin needs me. She could be out there right now, trapped or in danger, and I won't let some cryptic message stop me from helping her.
