Round 120 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Seraphine falls through the narrow entrance, she lands hard on the stone floor at the bottom of the slope. The impact leaves her breathless, and her head spins from the disorientation. She struggles to clear her vision, taking a few moments to regain her bearings. The water here is shallow, but it's running in a steady stream down the incline, carrying bits of debris with it. She can see that this tunnel leads deeper into the tower, away from the main chamber where Merrin was lost and Varikka might still be trapped. The air is musty and damp, filled with the scent of mold and decay. Seraphine's eyes adjust slowly to the dim light, revealing ancient carvings on the walls. They depict a long-forgotten civilization, one that seemed to have mastered the art of magic. The carvings appear to be a warning, a message left by those who came before. "Beware the depths," it reads. A faint rustling noise echoes through the tunnel, making Seraphine's heart skip a beat. She knows she can't afford to hesitate – Varikka's fate hangs in the balance. With a deep breath, she begins to make her way forward, her footsteps echoing off the stone walls.
I struggle against the tentacles, my heart pounding in my chest as I'm pulled deeper into the darkness. The water pressure increases exponentially, and I can feel my lungs burning as I hold my breath. The creature's grip is unrelenting, its suckers digging into my skin as it drags me further away from the surface. I know I don't have much time left. With a final surge of strength, I reach out towards Seraphine, our fingers brushing against each other before the current pulls me away once more.
"Find... Varikka..." I gasp, my voice barely audible through the water. "Tell her... I'm sorry..."
And with that, I'm dragged down into the abyss, the tentacles tightening their grip as they pull me towards an unknown fate. The last thing I see is the faint glow of Seraphine's magic, a distant light in the darkness as I'm consumed by the depths of the lake.*
