Round 111 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Merrin pushes herself through the churning water towards Seraphine, she feels a sudden jolt and her foot slips on a patch of smooth stone. She tumbles forward, her arms flailing wildly as she struggles to regain her balance. The water rushes past her, threatening to sweep her away, but she manages to grab hold of a nearby rock and pull herself back up. Seraphine, meanwhile, is fighting against the current, her eyes fixed on Merrin's voice as it echoes through the chamber. She takes a deep breath and swims towards Merrin, her arms slicing through the waves with growing strength. But as she approaches, she sees that Varikka's body is being pulled down into the depths of the lake by the tentacle, and she realizes that time is running out.
My heart races as I watch Seraphine struggle against the current, her face etched with exhaustion and fear. I know we are all fighting a losing battle against the tower's ancient magic and the forces of nature that have been unleashed within its walls. But I also know that we cannot abandon Varikka to this fate, and I will not let Seraphine face this alone.
I push myself through the churning water towards her, my arms slicing through the waves with growing strength. As I approach, I see that Varikka's body is being pulled down into the depths of the lake by the tentacle, and I realize that time is running out. "Seraphine!" I call out, my voice strained and desperate as I fight against the current to reach her. "We need to get out of here! Now!"
But even as I speak, I know that leaving is not an option. We cannot abandon Varikka to this creature, and we must find a way to stop the tower's collapse before it buries us all alive. The only question now is whether we will be able to save her in time, or if we will all be doomed to share her fate beneath the waves. "Varikka!" I call out once more, my voice hoarse with effort as I fight against the current to reach my friend. "Hold on! Help is coming!"
I can feel the ground shifting beneath my feet, tilting at an unsettling angle. The tower groans ominously around us, its ancient stones creaking and shifting with each passing moment. I know we don't have much time left before the entire structure collapses, burying us all beneath its rubble. "Seraphine!" I shout, my voice echoing through the chamber. "Varikka! Can you hear me?"
But there is no answer, only the roar of the collapsing tower and the churning of the water. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what I know must come next. With a surge of adrenaline, I plunge into the water once more, my arms slicing through the churning waves as I swim towards where the tentacle last surfaced. "Varikka!" I call out, my voice strained with urgency. "Swim towards my voice! I'll find you!"
But even as I speak, I feel the water rushing past me, cold and unforgiving. The tower shudders violently, and I hear a deafening crack of stone somewhere in the depths of the chamber. I know we don't have much time left, and I fear that the tower will not hold much longer. "Varikka!" I shout once more, my voice hoarse with effort as I push myself through the water towards her. "Hold on! We're here!"
