Round 105 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Merrin charges into the water, mace at the ready, as the tentacle pulls Varika deeper into the lake. The ground shudders beneath his feet, and the sound of crashing stone echoes through the chamber. Water rushes past his legs, icy cold and fast-moving. He swings his mace in wide arcs, striking the tentacle with a loud crack, but it doesn't seem to have much effect. The creature continues to pull Varika downward, and Merrin must act quickly to save her before she's dragged into the depths of the lake.
The water rushes past my legs, icy cold and fast-moving, as I charge into the lake with my mace raised high. The tentacle thrashes before me, its suckers leaving trails of muck and debris in its wake. Varikka is trapped beneath the surface, struggling against the creature's unseen force. I swing my mace in wide arcs, striking the tentacle with a loud crack, but it doesn't seem to have much effect. The creature continues to pull Varikka downward, and I know I must act quickly to save her before she's dragged into the depths of the lake. I wade deeper into the water, my feet sinking into the murky bottom as I gain traction to swing again. The tower groans around us, threatening to come down at any moment. I grit my teeth and redouble my efforts, striking at the tentacle with all my might. "Hold on, Varikka!" I shout, my voice barely audible over the rushing water and crashing stone. "I'm coming!"
With each swing of my mace, I feel a surge of determination and fear. I know the odds are against us, but I can't bear the thought of leaving Varikka to drown in this godforsaken lake. So I push forward, striking at the tentacle again and again, searching for any weak spot or opening that might free her from its grasp. The water rises higher with each passing moment, now waist-deep and still climbing. I can feel the current tugging at my legs, threatening to pull me under as well. But I refuse to give up. Varikka needs me, and I won't let her down. I take a deep breath and plunge deeper into the water, my mace gripped tightly in my hand as I swim towards where the tentacle last surfaced. The cold seeps into my bones, but I ignore it, focusing all my energy on reaching Varikka and freeing her from this creature's clutches. It's a desperate gamble, but what choice do we have? We're trapped in this collapsing tower with a rising flood and hostile entities bearing down on us from all sides. But if we can just save Varikka and find that door to the light, perhaps we still have a chance at survival. So I swim on, my heart pounding in my chest as I fight against the current and the tentacle's strength, determined to rescue my friend and escape this nightmare before it's too late.
