Round 92 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Seraphine charges forward with her staff, the water swirls around her knees, but she presses on, determined to save Merrin. The creature takes another step closer, its dark eyes fixed on Seraphine, and she can feel its malevolent presence washing over her. Suddenly, a massive chunk of the stone floor beneath her feet gives way, sending her tumbling into the water with a sickening splash. The water rushes in, threatening to pull her under, and Seraphine struggles to stay afloat, her eyes fixed on the creature above her. She knows she must act quickly if she wants to save Merrin, but the creature is closing in, its claws extended, ready to strike. Seraphine's heart pounds in her chest as she raises her staff, the crystals casting a faint glow in the darkness, and prepares to face the creature head-on.
I watch in horror as Seraphine is pulled under by the collapsing floor, her staff tumbling into the water beside her. The creature looms over me now, its dark eyes boring into mine with an unsettling intensity. I know I should be running, should be putting as much distance between myself and this thing as possible, but I can't. Not with Seraphine still in danger, not with Varikka trapped somewhere in the depths of this accursed place. So instead, I raise my fists, my knuckles white as I grip them tight. The creature takes another step closer, its claws extended, ready to strike. I know I should be afraid, should be screaming and running for my life, but I'm not. All I feel is a cold, hard determination, a burning need to protect my friends, to save them from whatever horrors await us in the depths of this twisted place.
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what must come next. The water swirls around my knees now, cold and unforgiving, but I pay it no mind. All I can think about is Seraphine, trapped beneath the surface, struggling to stay afloat. And Varikka, lost somewhere in the darkness, her fate unknown. I know I should be running, should be putting as much distance between myself and this thing as possible, but I can't. Not when there's still a chance, however slim, that I can save them.
I take another step forward, my fists raised high. The creature looms over me now, its dark eyes boring into mine with an unsettling intensity. I can feel its malevolent presence washing over me, like a cold wave of dread. But I don't flinch. I don't back down. Because deep down, I know that this is what I was born for, what I've trained my whole life for. To face the darkness, to stare it in the eye and tell it to go to hell. And so I do just that. "Come on then, you ugly bastard," I mutter under my breath, my voice shaking only slightly. "Let's see what you've got."
And with that, I charge forward, my fists raised high, ready to meet whatever horrors await me in the depths of this unnatural passage. The water swirls around my knees now, cold and unforgiving, but I pay it no mind. All I can think about is Seraphine, trapped beneath the surface, struggling to stay afloat.
