As I step into the narrow passage, the water rushes around my ankles, cold and unforgiving. The faint light flickers from within the passage casts eerie shadows on the walls, making it seem as if the darkness itself is moving. Suddenly, the sound of scraping stone grows louder, and I can feel the ground tremble beneath my feet. The creatures' cries echo in my ears, a haunting reminder of the horrors we left behind. I take another step forward, my hand outstretched to steady myself on the rough stone wall. As I do, I notice that the water level has risen slightly, threatening to fill the space between me and the wall. The ground continues to shift and groan, making it clear that the structure above us is collapsing in earnest. The rustling noise grows louder, and I can feel a presence moving closer. I must decide whether to investigate the source of the sound or retreat back to the platform, where Merrin and Varikka are waiting.

My heart pounds as I step into the narrow passage, the water rushing around my ankles. The faint light flickers from within, casting eerie shadows on the walls and making it seem as if the darkness itself is moving.

My mind races with possibilities, each one more terrifying than the last. What if whatever is making that noise is something even worse than the creatures we just encountered? What if it's a trap, set to lure us deeper into this labyrinth of death and madness?

But even as these thoughts swirl through my mind, I know I can't turn back now. We've come too far, fought too hard, to let fear hold us back. Merrin and Varikka are depending on me to find a way out of here, and I won't let them down.

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what I know must come next. And with that, I step forward into the unknown, my heart pounding in my chest as I disappear into the darkness beyond.
