As Merrin watches, Seraphine leaps off the platform, her robes billowing behind her. She lands on the stone chunk Seraphine pointed out, using it as a makeshift anchor. With a surge of strength, she begins to pull Varika towards them, but the water resists, threatening to drag them back down. The creature below surges forward, its tentacles reaching out to snatch Varika once more. The platform creaks ominously, its wooden planks groaning under the strain. Suddenly, a section of the wall gives way, sending a shower of rubble and debris into the water. The rumbling noise grows louder still, and the ground shudders violently, threatening to send the entire platform crashing down.

I let out a cry of alarm as Seraphine leaps from the crumbling platform, but I'm quickly distracted by the commotion in the water. Varikka is thrashing wildly, her struggles growing more desperate as the creature's tentacles wrap around her limbs. The rising water threatens to drag them both under, and the platform groans ominously beneath my feet. I know we're running out of time, but I can't just stand here and watch Varikka be pulled into the depths. With a surge of strength, I lunge forward, grabbing onto one of the tangled ropes. It's heavy and cumbersome, but I manage to pull it taut, using it as a makeshift lifeline. "Seraphine!" I shout, my voice barely audible over the roar of the water. "We need to work together! Pull on three!"

I count down, my muscles straining with the effort. On three, we yank the rope with all our might, grunting and groaning as we try to pull Varikka closer. For a moment, it seems like we're making progress, but then the platform gives another ominous creak, and I feel myself losing my footing. "No!" I cry out in frustration, watching helplessly as Varikka is dragged back into the water by the creature's tentacles. The rising water is up to my waist now, and I can feel the ground trembling beneath my feet. I know we can't keep this up for much longer. The tower is collapsing around us, and whatever's in that water is getting bolder by the second. We need to find a way out of here, and fast, before it's too late.
