Round 51 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Merrin wades forward into the churning water, her staff glowing with an otherworldly light, Seraphine takes a step back, her eyes fixed on the massive stone door that has sealed Merrin away. The air is electric with tension as she considers her next move. Suddenly, the glowing fungi on the walls flicker and pulse in time with Seraphine's racing heart, as if urging her to act swiftly. The water around Seraphine begins to churn and bubble, as if something beneath the surface is responding to her presence. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and Seraphine realizes that the flooding in the pit trap has spread, threatening to engulf the entire chamber. The stone door, still sealing Merrin away, begins to shudder and groan under the pressure, its ancient mechanisms creaking ominously. Seraphine must decide how to proceed, knowing that every moment counts in saving her friend.
I take a deep breath, my heart pounding in my chest as I wade through the churning water towards the massive stone door. Merrin's muffled cries echo from behind it, sending a shiver down my spine. I know I have to act fast, but what can I do against such a powerful creature? My staff feels pitifully weak in my hands, little more than a twig compared to the beast's bulk. As I approach the door, the glowing fungi on the walls pulse and flicker ominously, as if warning me of the danger ahead. The water grows colder with each step, and I can feel the weight of the tower pressing down on me from above, its final moments ticking away like a countdown to oblivion. But I won't let that stop me. Merrin is my friend, and I won't abandon her to whatever fate awaits behind this door. With a deep breath, I raise my staff high, the crystal at its tip glowing with an otherworldly light. "Merrin!" I call out, my voice echoing off the chamber walls. "I'm coming for you!"
And with that, I take a step forward, staff held at the ready, prepared to face whatever horrors may lie ahead. The door looms before me, its ancient mechanisms creaking ominously as the water pressure builds around it. I know that whatever is on the other side, it won't be easy. But for Merrin, I'll do whatever it takes.
