Shadow of the Ancients / Run 004 / Setup
Varrika
Fighter
Varrika Thornwake is a battle-hardened female dwarf fighter, her weathered features bearing the scars of countless skirmishes. Pragmatic and slow to trust anything ancient or magical, Varrika remains ever-vigilant against the shadows that lurk in the depths below the ominous gate. With a grim humor that belies her fierce loyalty, she puts herself between danger and her companions, but never mistaking bravery for foolhardiness.
In Varrika's own words
I'm Varrika Thornwake, a dwarf veteran who's seen more than my share of bloodshed in the service of my clan. The scars on my face are trophies from battles long past, each one a reminder of the price I've paid to keep those I care about safe. Magic doesn't sit well with me - it's an unpredictable force that can on you quicker than a wounded bear. But I trust in my strength and my mace to see us through whatever lies ahead, even if it means facing down ancient evils behind gates sealed by long-forgotten runes. So let the shadows come - I'll be ready for them.
