Round 7 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

I trace the shifting symbols with my eyes, feeling the ancient power pulse beneath my fingers. "Sisters," my voice is firm but measured, "this magic is not to be trifled with. I won't allow any of us to become its plaything." With decisive care, I retrieve my silver holy symbol from my robes and begin to trace it over Jeane's burned skin in a slow, deliberate blessing, channeling the purest healing energy I can muster.
I step back from the gate, my eyes darting between the shifting runes and Jeane's scorched arm. The air is thick with ancient magic, and it's making my skin crawl. "Alright, alright, I get it," I mutter, holding up my hands in surrender. "This ain't your average lock."
I chew on my lip, considering our options. Picking this thing blind could spell disaster for us all. But we can't just stand here and wait for the tower to swallow us whole either.
"Seraphine, love, any chance you can make sense of those runes? Maybe we're looking at this wrong - what if they're some kind of clue?" I turn to the elven wizard, hoping her arcane knowledge might shed some light on our predicament. Varrika's right, we're in deep here. But I've always been a fan of the 'fake it till you make it' approach. "One step at a time, yeah? Let's see if we can't decipher this puzzle before we go barreling in."
