Round 211 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As we round the bend in the passageway, our footsteps echo off the damp walls. The air grows thick with the scent of mold and decay, and I can feel a presence watching us from the shadows. Suddenly, the glowing red eyes vanish, replaced by a faint, flickering light emanating from the rubble. Varrika readies her mace, while Merrin grips her crossbow tightly. I examine the pile more closely, searching for any signs of traps or hidden dangers.
I crouch low, my crossbow at the ready as I scan the rubble for any signs of movement. The flickering light grows brighter, casting eerie shadows across the passageway walls. "Varrika, wait!" I hiss, my heart pounding in my chest. "We don't know what we're dealing with here." I take a cautious step forward, my boots crunching on the broken stones. As I draw closer to the pile of rubble, I can see a faint glimmer of something metallic poking out from beneath the debris. I reach out with trembling fingers, my eyes fixed on the object as I try to discern what it might be. Suddenly, the ground beneath my feet shudders, and I stumble forward, nearly losing my balance. "Careful," Varrika grunts, reaching out to steady me. "This place is unstable as a drunk dwarf's table." I nod, swallowing hard as I regain my footing. The scuttling sound grows louder, more urgent, and I can feel a wave of unease wash over me. Whatever's down there... it's not going to be friendly. But we have no choice but to press on. With a deep breath, I take another step forward, my crossbow raised and ready to fire at the first sign of trouble. "Alright," I mutter, my voice strained. "Let's see what's hiding in this pile of rubble."
I let out a low growl of frustration as I stare at the pile of rubble blocking our path. This whole damn place is nothing but traps and tricks, and I'm sick of falling for them. "Alright," I mutter, my voice tight with tension. "Let's see what we're dealing with here."
