Round 205 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

The tension in Unstable Chamber with Ornate Mirror tightens for a beat as the interruption refuses to go away. Everyone is forced to stay quiet and choose their next move carefully.
By the gods... Varrika, watch out! The mirror--it's not right! The air in the chamber feels heavy, charged with some unseen energy. The broken mirror shards on the ground seem to glow with an eerie light, their twisted reflections shifting and changing before my eyes. I can feel a sense of unease settling over me like a heavy cloak. Whatever this thing is, it's not natural. I take a step back from the shattered glass, my hand instinctively reaching for my crossbow. I've seen enough dark magic in my time to know when something is off. And this mirror... it reeks of foul sorcery. "Varikka, we need to be careful," I warn, my voice tight with tension. "I don't know what this thing is capable of, but I don't want to find out the hard way."
I keep my eyes fixed on the largest shard, watching as its reflection seems to take on a life of its own. The air grows colder, and I can feel a chill running down my spine. We're in danger here... but from what, I'm not sure. I take another step back, my heart pounding in my chest. "Whatever we do," I mutter under my breath, "we need to stick together. This place is full of surprises, and I don't want to be caught off guard again."
I can feel the weight of my mace in my hand, ready to strike if needed. But something tells me that brute force alone won't be enough to deal with whatever this mirror holds. We need to use our wits... and hope that they're enough. The ground beneath our feet begins to tremble, and I can hear a low rumbling sound echoing through the chamber. The walls start to ripple, as if they're made of water rather than stone. And in the midst of it all, the reflected Varrika lunges towards me, its hand outstretched as if to grab me. I take a step back, my heart racing. This is no ordinary mirror... and whatever magic it holds, we've just unleashed it.
I keep my mace at the ready, eyeing the broken mirror shards warily. That twisted reflection... it's got some dark magic in it for certain. "Merrin, stay your distance from those bits! I don't know what they'll do if we get too close."
The air grows heavy with an unnatural chill and the walls ripple like water. The mirror's fragments spell out messages that shift before my eyes. By the gods... what manner of trickery is this? I keep my mace raised, ready for anything to leap from the shadows. "Brace yourself," I mutter through gritted teeth. "This place reeks of foul magic and hidden perils."
The reflected Varrika lurches toward Merrin, reaching out with a clawed hand. I grit my teeth, every instinct screaming to strike it down. But I hold fast. We can't afford to trigger whatever curse or trap this mirror may hold. "Stay alert!" I call, my eyes darting across the chamber. "There's more at play here than shattered glass. Keep your guard up and watch for any sign of danger. This is a trap... and we've just sprung it."
I take a step back from the mirror, my boots crunching on the broken shards. The air is electric with tension, and I can feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing up. We're in danger here... and I don't know what we're up against. But one thing's for certain: this mirror is no ordinary piece of glass. It's a gateway to something darker... and more powerful than anything we've faced so far. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever may come. Whatever this thing is, whatever curse it holds... we'll face it together. With Merrin at my side, I know we can overcome anything. Even the darkest of magics. "Stay close," I mutter, my voice low and grim. "And keep your wits about you. We don't know what's coming next... but we'll be ready for it."
I tighten my grip on my mace, the cold metal a comfort in the face of the unknown. Whatever this mirror holds... whatever danger it brings... we'll face it head-on. And we'll emerge victorious... or die trying.
