Narrator

Narrator · Narrator

The Narrator's eyes narrow as they study the ancient runes etched into the stone floor. The pulsing glow grows brighter, casting an eerie light over the area. The platform shudders violently, and the air is filled with the sound of grinding stone. Suddenly, a faint whisper echoes in the Narrator's mind: "The power of the Time-Splitting Sword is not to be trifled with. You will be tested, and only those who prove worthy shall pass."

The runes on the floor begin to glow with an intense, blinding light. The Narrator feels a surge of energy emanating from them, as if the ancient magic is awakening. The platform continues to collapse, and the Narrator knows they must act quickly to escape.

Merrin

Merrin · Rogue

I scramble up the wall after Varrika, my heart pounding in my chest as the platform beneath us groans and shudders. The figure in Shimmering Light looms before us, its presence both captivating and terrifying. Its outstretched hand sends waves of energy rippling through the ground, making it buck and heave around me.

The voice in my head whispers a chilling warning: "Your greatest fear is not what you expect, but what you cannot escape." I shudder as the words echo in my mind, a sense of foreboding washing over me. But even as the ground shifts beneath my feet, I know that we must press on if we are to survive this twisted dimension.

I throw out my arms, trying to steady myself as I lose my balance. My crossbow feels heavy in my grip, but it's the only thing grounding me as the world seems to spin out of control. The figure in Shimmering Light looms before me, its presence both captivating and terrifying. Its outstretched hand sends waves of energy rippling through the ground, making it buck and heave around me.

As we climb higher up the crumbling platform, I can see Seraphine pointing towards a faint glow emanating from the depths below. My eyes narrow as I try to make out what it is, but the pulsing light seems to be growing brighter by the second. I know that whatever lies ahead, it will be a challenge unlike any we have faced before.

I turn to Varrika, my voice grim. "We need to get to higher ground, now. Follow me, and stay close." I begin to climb up the nearest wall of the collapsing platform, my crossbow in hand and my eyes scanning for any sign of danger or a way out.

Varrika

Varrika · Fighter

I nod grimly at Merrin's words, my grip tightening on my mace as I continue to climb up the crumbling wall of the platform. The ground beneath us shudders and groans, threatening to give way at any moment. I can feel the ancient magic pulsing through the crystal plain, a tangible force that seems to be growing stronger with each passing second.

As we climb higher, I glance down at the figure in Shimmering Light below. Its presence is both alluring and terrifying, its outstretched hand sending waves of energy rippling through the ground. The voice in my head whispers again, its words echoing like a distant memory: "Your greatest fear is not what you expect, but what you cannot escape."

I shudder at the thought, my mind racing as I try to make sense of the cryptic message. But there's no time to ponder its meaning now - we have to focus on survival if we're going to make it out of this twisted dimension alive.

As we near the top of the wall, I spot a faint glow emanating from a small crevice in the stone. It's barely visible against the pulsing light of the runes, but it catches my eye nonetheless. I point to it with my mace, my voice urgent as I speak to Merrin.

"Look there!" I call out, gesturing towards the crevice. "There might be a way out through that opening. We need to check it out, quickly!"

I know that we're running out of time - the platform is collapsing around us, and the ancient magic is growing stronger by the second. But if there's even a chance of escape, we have to take it.

With a final push, I haul myself over the edge of the wall, my mace gripped tightly in my hand as I scan the area for any signs of danger or a way forward. The glow from the crevice seems to beckon me closer, and I can feel a strange energy emanating from it, like a call to adventure.

I turn to Merrin, my eyes filled with determination. "Stay close," I whisper, my voice barely audible over the groaning of the collapsing platform. "We're almost there."
