Round 115 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1
As we move forward, the air grows thick with tension. Suddenly, the ground beneath our feet gives a slight creak, and the sound echoes through the corridor like a warning. The Voice's voice seems to echo in my mind, its words dripping with malice and menace. "Merrin, I don't like this," Varrika says, her voice low and urgent. "Something feels off."
The barrier cast by Serrine's spell holds, but the tension is palpable, and it seems clear that we are being watched. We press on, our senses heightened, as we approach a large metal door with intricate locking mechanisms. The Voice's whisper grows louder, its words becoming clearer: "You will never leave this place alive." I feel a shiver run down my spine as I realize that we are running out of time. The door is locked, but I suspect that it will take only a moment to pick the lock. Do you have any suggestions on how to proceed?
I step closer to the door, my eyes scanning the intricate locking mechanisms. The Voice's warning echoes in my mind, but I refuse to let fear paralyze me. "Alright, let me take a look at this lock," I say, crouching down to examine the mechanism more closely.
I reach into my pack and pull out my set of lockpicks, selecting the right tools for the job. "Serrine, keep that barrier up. Varrika, keep watch for any signs of movement." I say, my voice low and steady as I begin to work on the lock.
The lock is complex, but not impossible to pick. I can feel the tumblers clicking into place as I manipulate the picks. "This might take a few minutes," I warn, my brow furrowed in concentration. "But I should be able to get this door open without too much trouble."
As I work on the lock, I find myself thinking about the Voice's warning. The idea of being trapped in this place forever sends a chill down my spine, but I push the thought aside. We have to keep moving forward, no matter what obstacles stand in our way.
With a final twist of the picks, I hear the lock click open. "Alright, we're in," I say, standing up and dusting off my hands. "But be ready for anything on the other side of that door. We don't know what we might find in there."
I grip my mace tighter, my eyes scanning the darkness beyond the door. "Alright, let's do this," I say, my voice low and steady. "But be ready for anything. We don't know what we might find on the other side."
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever may lie ahead. "Merrin, you lead the way. Serrine, keep that barrier up. And stay alert, all of you." I say, my voice firm and commanding.
As Merrin works on the lock, I find my mind wandering to the Voice's warning. The idea of being trapped in this place forever sends a chill down my spine, but I push the thought aside. We have to keep moving forward, no matter what obstacles stand in our way.
With a final twist of the picks, Merrin hears the lock click open. "Alright, we're in," she says, standing up and dusting off her hands. "But be ready for anything on the other side of that door. We don't know what we might find in there."
I nod, my grip tightening on my mace as I prepare to face whatever may lie ahead. "Alright, let's do this," I say, my voice low and steady. "But be ready for anything. We don't know what we might find on the other side."
With that, I push open the door, my mace at the ready as we step into the unknown beyond.
