As the dust settles, Varrika's mace crashes to the ground, sending the creature's lifeless body tumbling. Merrin readies another bolt, her eyes locked on the stairs leading down into darkness. "Serrine, now!" she calls out, her voice urgent. The air seems to vibrate with Serrine's magic as a shimmering barrier materializes across the stairs, blocking any potential threats from above. Varrika charges forward, her battle-worn armor creaking with each step, and Merrin follows close behind. As they reach the bottom of the stairs, a section of the wall gives way, sending rubble tumbling down the corridor. The creature's lifeless body is crushed beneath the debris, but the sound echoes through the tower, a grim reminder of its demise. Varrika's eyes scan the area, her gaze lingering on the darkness beyond the barrier. "We need to keep moving," she says, her voice low and steady. "This whole place is unstable. We don't know how long that barrier will hold."

I breathe a sigh of relief as Varrika's mace finally brings the creature down, the sickening crunch of its skull echoing through the crumbling corridor. But there's no time to catch my breath. The tower groans ominously around us, a grim reminder of the danger we're in. "Serrine, keep that barrier up!" I call out, my voice strained as I struggle to keep my footing on the unstable stairs. "Varrika, let's move. We need to find a way out of this place before it comes crashing down on our heads."

I reload my crossbow, my hands shaking slightly from the adrenaline coursing through my veins. The darkness beyond the barrier looms ahead, threatening and unknown. But we have no choice. We have to keep going. As we reach the bottom of the stairs, a section of the wall gives way, sending rubble tumbling down the corridor. I duck, narrowly avoiding being crushed by the falling debris. My heart pounds in my chest as I realize just how close we came to being buried alive. "Everyone alright?" I ask, my voice strained as I scan the area for any signs of further collapse. "We need to keep moving. This whole place is coming down around us."

I take a step forward, my crossbow at the ready. The air is thick with dust and the stench of decay, making it hard to breathe. But I can't let it slow me down. Not when my friends are counting on me. "Varrika, take point," I say, gesturing towards the darkness ahead. "Serrine, keep that barrier up. We don't know what's waiting for us in there, but we can't afford to let anything surprise us."

I follow close behind Varrika, my eyes scanning the shadows for any signs of movement. The tower groans ominously around us, a constant reminder of the danger we're in. But we have to keep going. We have to find a way out of this place before it's too late.

I nod grimly at Merrin's command, my muscles tensing as I ready my mace for whatever lies ahead. "Alright, let's move," I growl, my voice low and steady despite the chaos around us. "But keep your eyes peeled. We don't know what else might be lurking in these shadows."

I take a step forward, my boots crunching on the rubble-strewn floor. The air is thick with dust and the stench of decay, making it hard to breathe. But I can't let it slow me down. Not when my friends are counting on me. As we move deeper into the darkness, the tower groans ominously around us, a constant reminder of the danger we're in.

Suddenly, a section of the wall gives way, sending more rubble tumbling down the corridor. I duck, narrowly avoiding being crushed by the falling debris. "Warn me next time!" I shout, my heart pounding in my chest. "This whole place is coming down around us!"

I take another step forward, my eyes scanning the shadows for any signs of movement. The air is thick with tension, the silence broken only by the occasional groan of failing stone and the heavy breathing of my companions. I know we can't afford to let our guard down, not even for a moment.

As we round a corner, I spot a faint glimmer of light in the distance. "There," I say, pointing with my mace. "Looks like there might be a way out ahead. But who knows what we'll find when we get there."

I take another step forward, my muscles tensing as I prepare for whatever may lie ahead. The tower groans ominously around us, a grim reminder of the danger we're in. But we have to keep going. We have to find a way out of this place before it's too late.
