Round 102 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

The Voice's gaze shifts to Merrin and me, her eyes glinting with a malevolent light. "Ah, mortals, you think you can solve my riddle? Very well, I shall give you a hint. The answer lies in the very thing that binds you together." She gestures to the stone, which begins to glow with an eerie light. As the stone pulsates, the air around us seems to thicken, as if reality itself is bending to The Voice's will. The ground beneath our feet gives a slight tremor, and I feel a surge of magic coursing through my veins, making it harder to think clearly. The Voice's next words cut through the haze: "If you cannot solve my riddle, you will never leave this place. But if you succeed... you will find Varrika, and together you will face the darkness that lies within." The voice fades away, leaving only an oppressive silence.
The Voice's words echo in my mind as I stare at the pulsating stone before us. The answer lies in the very thing that binds us together? I glance over at Merrin, my eyes searching hers for some hint of understanding. But even as I look into her eyes, I can feel my own thoughts beginning to grow hazy, as if the magic in the air is slowly clouding my mind.
I take a step closer to the pit, my hand still gripping the hilt of my mace. The ground beneath my feet trembles slightly, and I can feel the weight of the crystal's influence bearing down on me like a physical pressure. But even as fear gnaws at my insides, I know that we have no choice but to keep moving forward.
We've come too far to turn back now, I think to myself. And the promise of the Time-Splitting Sword is too great to ignore. So I take another step forward, my eyes fixed on the stone before us as the energy around it begins to distort reality itself.
Whatever happens next, I think to myself, we'll face it together. And with Merrin by my side, I have a feeling that we can overcome any obstacle that stands in our way - no matter how dark or twisted it may be.
I turn back to the pit, my eyes fixed on the stone before us. "Let's do this," I say, my voice filled with grim determination. "Whatever it takes, whatever the cost, we'll find a way through this. And we'll save Varrika too. That's a promise."
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever challenges may lie ahead. The ground beneath my feet trembles slightly, and I can feel the weight of the crystal's influence bearing down on me like a physical pressure. But even as fear gnaws at my insides, I know that we have no choice but to keep moving forward.
