Round 100 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As we move closer to the glowing figure, its silhouette begins to take on a more defined shape. The trees around us seem to lean in, their branches tangling together in a way that creates a sense of claustrophobia. The air grows colder, and I can feel the weight of the crystal's influence bearing down on me like a physical pressure. Suddenly, Varrika's grip on my arm tightens, and she stumbles, her eyes fixed on something ahead. "The Voice," she whispers, her voice barely audible over the whispering in my mind. The figure steps forward, its features becoming clearer. It's a woman with long, flowing hair and piercing green eyes. She regards us with a cold, calculating gaze. The Voice speaks in a voice that echoes in my mind, "Welcome, mortals. I have been waiting for you. You seek the Time-Splitting Sword, but first, you must prove your worthiness." The woman raises her hand, and a dark, swirling energy erupts from her palm. The air around us begins to distort, as if reality itself is bending to her will. Merrin takes a step forward, her eyes fixed on The Voice with a mix of fear and determination. "We're not afraid," she says, her voice steady. "We'll face whatever you throw at us."
I feel a chill run down my spine as The Voice speaks, its words echoing in my mind like a sinister whisper. I can see the fear in Varrika's eyes, and I know that I'm not immune to it either. But even as terror threatens to overwhelm me, I force myself to stand tall, meeting The Voice's gaze with a defiant stare.
We've come too far to back down now, I think to myself. We've faced worse than this twisted reflection and lived to tell the tale. And I'll be damned if I'm going to let some shadowy figure intimidate me into giving up on our quest.
I take a step forward, my hand still gripping the hilt of my dagger. "We're not afraid," I say, my voice steady and clear. "We'll face whatever you throw at us."
But even as I speak the words, I can feel a sense of unease building in the pit of my stomach. There's something about this place that feels wrong, like the very air is poisoned with malice. And as The Voice raises her hand and dark energy swirls around her, I can't shake the feeling that we're walking into a trap from which there may be no escape.
Still, I know that we have no choice but to keep moving forward. We've come too far to turn back now, and the promise of the Time-Splitting Sword is too great to ignore. So I take another step forward, my eyes fixed on The Voice's form as the energy around her begins to distort reality itself.
Whatever happens next, I think to myself, we'll face it together. And with Merrin and Varrika by my side, I have a feeling that we can overcome any obstacle that stands in our way - no matter how dark or twisted it may be.

I take a step forward, my hand still gripping the hilt of my mace. The air around us grows colder, and I can feel the weight of the crystal's influence bearing down on me like a physical pressure. But even as fear gnaws at my insides, I know that we have no choice but to keep moving forward.

I glance over at Merrin, my eyes narrowed with concern. "Stay alert," I say, my voice a low growl. "Keep your eyes open and your weapon ready. We don't know what dangers might be lurking in this place."
And with that, I take another tentative step into the unknown, ready to face whatever horrors await us in this twisted reflection.
