Round 98 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As we step forward into the twisted reflection, the mirror's surface ripples violently, and I stumble, my hand tightening around Varrika's as she pulls me closer to the mirror. The ground beneath us shudders violently, and I feel a sense of unease building inside me, threatening to overwhelm me entirely. Suddenly, the mirror's surface splits open, revealing a dark, twisted forest beyond. Varrika's grip on my arm tightens, and we both stumble forward, our movements uncertain. The trees loom overhead, their branches twisting into grotesque shapes that seem to reach out and ensnare us with every step we take. I hear the sound of a faint whispering in my mind, "Merrin's greatest fears await." The air is thick with an otherworldly energy, and I can feel the power of the crystal growing stronger, its influence seeping into my mind like a poison. Halie's voice echoes in my mind, warning me not to let the mirror pull us in, but it's too late. We are already here, trapped in this nightmarish realm where our worst fears seem to come to life. The forest seems to be drawing us deeper, and I can feel a sense of dread building inside me with each passing moment.
As we stumble forward into the twisted reflection, I feel a wave of fear wash over me. The air is thick with an otherworldly energy, and the ground beneath my feet feels unstable, as if I could fall through at any moment.
I grip Varrika's arm tightly, my heart racing as I take in the nightmarish landscape that surrounds us. The trees loom overhead, their branches twisting into grotesque shapes that seem to reach out and ensnare us with every step we take. I can hear the distant sound of a whispering voice, its words just out of reach.
But even as fear threatens to overwhelm me, I know that we cannot turn back now. We have come too far, sacrificed too much to give up on our quest for the Time-Splitting Sword.
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what lies ahead. "Stay alert," I say to Varrika, my voice shaking slightly. "We don't know what dangers might be lurking in this place."
And with that, I take another step forward into the twisted reflection, ready to face whatever challenges may lie ahead - and whatever secrets the mirror may hold.
But even as we move deeper into this nightmarish realm, I can feel a sense of unease building inside me. The forest seems to be drawing us deeper, and I can feel a growing sense of dread with each passing moment. Something is not right here, and I have a feeling that our worst fears are about to come to life.
I glance over at Varrika, my eyes wide with fear. "We need to stick together," I say, my voice barely above a whisper. "Whatever happens, we can't let ourselves get separated."
And with that, I take another tentative step forward into the unknown, ready to face whatever may come - even if it means confronting my deepest, darkest fears.
I feel a chill run down my spine as we stumble into this twisted reflection, the air thick with an otherworldly energy. The trees loom overhead, their branches reaching out like gnarled fingers, as if trying to ensnare us.
I grip my mace tightly, my knuckles white against the worn handle. This place feels wrong, unnatural. It's like we've stepped into a waking nightmare, where our worst fears are about to come to life.
But even as fear threatens to overwhelm me, I know that we cannot turn back now. We have come too far, sacrificed too much to give up on our quest for the Time-Splitting Sword.
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what lies ahead. "Stay alert," I say to Merrin, my voice a low growl. "Keep your eyes open and your weapon ready. We don't know what dangers might be lurking in this place."
And with that, I take another step forward into the twisted reflection, ready to face whatever challenges may come our way. But even as we move deeper into this nightmarish realm, I can feel a sense of unease building inside me. Something is not right here, and I have a feeling that our worst fears are about to be tested in ways we cannot imagine.
I glance over at Merrin, my eyes narrowed with suspicion. "Whatever happens," I say, my voice barely above a whisper, "we can't let ourselves get separated. Stick close, and watch each other's backs. We're in this together, for better or worse."
And with that, I take another tentative step forward into the unknown, ready to face whatever may come - even if it means confronting my deepest, darkest fears.
