As the mist swirls around me, I realize that Varrika has vanished into its depths. I call out her name again, but there is no response. The chamber seems to be shifting, and the twisted reflections in the mirrors begin to change, their forms blurring and reforming. Suddenly, a new reflection appears, one that is not my own - it's Varrika's, but her eyes are black as coal, and her skin is deathly pale. She reaches out a hand, and I feel an icy chill as she touches the mirror. The glass shatters, and Varrika stumbles forward, her eyes still black as coal. Halie's voice cuts through the chaos, "Merrin, we need to get out of here, now! The sword's influence is growing stronger, and we don't know what it will do next!"

Immediate Pressure:
Do we try to help Varrika, or do we focus on escaping the chamber?

Merrin

Merrin · Rogue

I see Varrika stagger forward, her eyes black as coal and her skin deathly pale. The twisted reflection in the mirror shatters, and I feel an icy chill as she stumbles towards me. "Varrika!" I cry out, reaching out to steady her. "What happened to you?"

But even as I speak, I can feel the power of the crystal growing stronger, its influence seeping into my mind like a poison. Halie's voice cuts through the chaos, "Merrin, we need to get out of here, now! The sword's influence is growing stronger, and we don't know what it will do next!"

I look around the chamber, my heart racing as I try to make sense of what's happening. The ground beneath us trembles again, and I can feel the fear rising up inside me, threatening to overwhelm me entirely. "Halie," I say, my voice shaking with fear and revulsion. "What do we do now? How do we escape this place?"

I turn to Varrika, concern etched on my face as I see her struggling to stand. "Varrika, are you okay?" I ask, taking a step towards her. But even as I move, I can feel the power of the crystal growing stronger, its influence seeping into my mind like a poison. The structural instability in the tower walls grows more pronounced, and the air crackles with eldritch energy. The twisted reflections in the mirrors seem to beckon to me, their grotesque shapes promising some hidden truth that I dare not uncover. I raise my mace, ready to strike at whatever emerges from those twisted reflections. "Halie," I say, my voice shaking but determined. "If that really is you... we need to work together to get out of here. Can you hear me?"

But even as I speak, I know that we are in grave danger. This place... it's changing us, twisting our minds into something else. And if we don't find a way out soon, we may all be lost forever in this twisted realm.

Varrika

Varrika · Fighter

I stagger forward, my head spinning as I try to make sense of what's happening around me. Varrika... she's gone, vanished into the swirling mist that fills the chamber. My heart races as fear and confusion wash over me. "Varikka!" I shout, my voice echoing off the walls. "VARIKKA!"

I spin around, searching the mist for any sign of her, but it's useless. The air is thick with an otherworldly energy, making it difficult to see more than a few feet in front of me. "Merrin," Halie's voice cuts through the chaos, "We need to focus on finding a way out of here. Varrika... she may have already moved on."

I shake my head, trying to clear the fog from my mind. "No," I say, my voice shaking. "We can't leave her behind. We need to find her."

But even as I speak, I know that we are in grave danger. This place... it's changing us, twisting our minds into something else. And if we don't find a way out soon, we may all be lost forever in this twisted realm. I take a deep breath, trying to steady myself as the ground trembles once again. "Halie," I say, my voice filled with determination. "How do we find her? What do we do now?"
