Round 91 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As the ground trembles again, the chamber begins to fill with a swirling mist that seems to seep from the walls themselves. The air grows thick with an otherworldly energy, and the twisted reflections in the mirrors pulse with an eerie light. Halie's eyes flash with an intense blue glow, and she says, "The Time-Splitting Sword is responding to your presence, Merrin. It will not be silenced."
Varrika stumbles forward, her hand reaching for the crystal at the bottom of the pit, now pulsing with an intense power that seems to be calling to her. The ground shakes violently, and the chamber begins to shift around them, as if the very foundations of the tower are unraveling. A loud creaking sound echoes through the air, and the sound of distant rumbling grows louder, threatening to engulf them all.
I stagger back from the mirror, my heart pounding in my chest as the ground beneath us trembles once again. The twisted reflections seem to beckon to me, their grotesque shapes promising some hidden truth that I dare not uncover. "Halie, what's happening?" I demand, my voice shaking with fear and revulsion. "This place... it's changing us. Twisting our minds into something else."
I turn to Varrika, concern etched on my face as I see her struggling to stand. "Varrika, are you okay?" I ask, taking a step towards her. But even as I move, I can feel the power of the crystal growing stronger, its influence seeping into my mind like a poison. The structural instability in the tower walls grows more pronounced, and the air crackles with eldritch energy. I raise my mace, ready to strike at whatever emerges from those twisted reflections. "Halie," I say, my voice shaking but determined. "If that really is you... we need to work together to get out of here. Can you hear me?"
But even as I speak, I know that we are in grave danger. This place... it's changing us, twisting our minds into something else. And if we don't find a way out soon, we may all be lost forever in this twisted realm. I take a deep breath, trying to steady myself as the ground trembles once again. "Okay, Halie," I say, my voice shaking but determined. "If the Time-Splitting Sword is responding to my presence, then we need to find out what it wants from me."
I turn to Varrika, my eyes filled with concern. "Varrika, stay alert. Watch for any sign of danger or instability in the chamber."
As I speak, I can feel the crystal's power growing stronger, its influence seeping into my mind like a poison. But I know that we must find a way out of this place before it's too late. I take a step towards the mirror, my hand reaching out to touch the shattered glass. The twisted reflection of myself seems to beckon to me, promising some hidden truth that I dare not uncover.
"Halie," I say, my voice shaking with fear and revulsion. "What is this place? What are we dealing with here?"
But even as I speak, I know that the answer may be more terrifying than I can imagine. This place... it's changing us, twisting our minds into something else. And if we don't find a way out soon, we may all be lost forever in this twisted realm.
I stagger to my feet, my head pounding as I try to make sense of what's happening around me. The ground beneath us trembles again, and I can feel the fear rising up inside me, threatening to overwhelm me entirely. "Halie, what is this place?" I demand, my voice echoing through the chamber. "What are we dealing with here?"
As Merrin turns to me, concern etched on her face, I can see the same fear and confusion in her eyes that I feel inside. The twisted reflections in the mirrors seem to beckon to us, their grotesque shapes promising some hidden truth. "Merrin, are you okay?" I ask, taking a step towards her. "This place... it's changing us, twisting our minds into something else. We need to find a way out of here before it's too late."
But even as I speak, I can feel the power of the crystal growing stronger, its influence seeping into my mind like a poison. The structural instability in the tower walls grows more pronounced, and the air crackles with eldritch energy.
